I say affection but what on earth do you call that? the way he grabbed Scott and started caressing his head and kissing him reminded me of the way a psychopath toys with their victim, before they torture them, knowing they have them under their power.

I have to say, I didn't see it that way as I said on the other thread on this too.
I saw nothing indicating anything malicious nor did I see any great show of being uncomfortable with it from Scott. Scott was very happy to dig his heels in and say plenty as to losing the game for a time for the others but he never made any indication to even say to Conor, go away at all.
Storm in a teacup for me.

I pointed this out on another thread the fact that Conor was spinning his beer glass completely angry and then started to "play" with Scott was clearly and intimidation act, he has never acted like that towards Scott, why now? obviously he knows he cant beat Scott but that was the closest thing he could do to scare him, you dont really need to be a physcologist to see what his subliminal intentions were.

On a speculation level, what would have happened if Scott said something like F U or just pushed him? would Conor have still been so playful? I bet he would have reacted really badly to that and just snap, Big Bully is walking on thin ice by giving Conor so much freedom.

That is exactly how i saw it. Bit like a school bully showing his power of the weak kids

Is there a clip of this that someone could post. I didn't see it properly as I was on the phone when it was on.

It looked like something a bully would do

Masking it as playfulness but really being slyly intimidating

It was intimidation. Conor wanting to let Scott know he is in charge! Or so he thinks. He was so obviously angry only moments before, i don't buy he had really got over it that quick.

Maybe Conor had picked up that Scott and Deana were talking about him. It all seemed a bit clumsy on his part but very intimidating too.

That's the way a saw it, too. Conor flipped out and showed his true self which gave Scott a few minutes of clarity to really see his true self. Conor felt he must have been exposed and tried to regain his good image by kissing Scott. Too little too late.

In rewatching that I realize, Scott was trying to get away from him, too. People have said he didn't seem to upset about it, but watch at the end, after Conor shifts his hands to that one is around his throat, Scott starts turning and moving to get out of his hold.
