Charlie Sheen's Anger Management Debuts To Record Breaking Numbers

Charlie Sheen's new comedy series Anger Management has made its FX debut to record-breaking ratings.

The former Two and a Half Men actor stars as an eccentric therapist on the series, loosely based on the 2003 film of the same name starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's June 28 debut is the most-watched scripted comedy broadcast in cable history, excluding children's programming.

The debut managed to take in 5.47 million viewers, while a second episode at 9.30pm averaged a total of 5.74 million viewers.

If future episodes of the series meet undisclosed ratings goals, it stands to receive a 90-episode order for future seasons.

Anger Management airs Thursdays at 9.30pm on FX.

Plus Two and a Half Men is on regular TV, you have to pay extra for channels like FX, HBO, Showtime, etc.
