View Full Version : One of the problems with this series (that can be rectified!)

This year's housemates are being spoilt rotten, they are being given huge luxury shopping budgets (when they pass) and not being sufficiently punished. They're not given the housemates proper punishments like... taking away luxury food, cigarettes, comfort (beds, sofas), hot water (more permanently)

The arguments in the house are just sizzling out quietly and not resulting in big blow outs. I reckon if BB were more strict on the housemates with the punishments and food budget, then they wouldn't have all these comforts to fall back on and the hunger and lack of tabaco could rile people up the wrong way and we can have proper arguments instead of these boring ones.

I'm not saying I want BB5 fight-night again (I do, I really do), but a proper argument with swearing/tears and people being called to the DR to separate them would be more entertaining than these dull 'confrontations'

Agree with all of that, except I'd put whoever discussed noms up for eviction as well.

They have it far too easy in there, definitely.

Too much money, too many parties and too easy tasks.

Agree completely, thinking of how harsh BB was on the housemates in the past and then looking at this series makes it look so stupid. Remember when it was £1 per head per day- those were the days, now the whole house is getting £800something for the week which is absolutely ridiculous.

Thing is- this series had the potential to be extremely fiery and loud but Big Brother's been too soft on all the housemates, I think they'd have been much more ratty and argumentative if the food had been limited and now it seems like every week they'll win the easy shopping tasks.

I mean the 100 point one showed us really- the first day was completely irrelevent and it came down to the last 20 points in which Big Brother basically fixed it to give them a luxury budget. This may not be right but I think it's because of all this 'product placement'- Big Brother get's paid when supermarket product's are shown on screen so by giving the housemates a luxury budget this allows them to buy a heap of food and items in order to 'play' product placement as it's best [or worse].

The producers need to seriously take a look at this series and sort some stuff out like this because it's one of the major flaws of Big Brother on 5 at the moment.

It's not meant to be a holiday camp like they're treating it..

To be fair, its not the housemates fault. This is a Channel 5 problem...

And the fact they get to listen to music all the bloody time, is a joke
