BBC to mark 21st anniversary of Only Fools

The BBC is to mark the 21st anniversary of Only Fools And Horses by re-showing the first-ever episode.

The comedy classic will be broadcast on September 8.

It was originally transmitted on September 8, 1981.

The episode, called Big Brother, begins with the show's original theme tune, which was changed for the second series, reports Waveguide.

I LOVE Only Fools and Horses. :hello: :hello: :hello:

It'll be fascinating to watch the first ever episode - Del and Rodney will look so young ..... and dear old Grandad will be there too.

The three funniest moments during all 21 years for me were:

No. 3 - The episode with the blow-up dolls inflating and popping up behind the sofa.

No. 2 - Del and Rodney running through the streets of Peckham dressed as Batman and Robin.

No. 1 - The moment when Del went to lean on the bar, not realising that the hatch was up, and fell straight through onto the floor.

Oh, they don't make comedy like that any more. :colour: :spin2: :colour:

Kaz, I too love 'Only Fools and Horses'.

As you have already picked my three favourite moments I can't pick more, but I did rather like the title of a Christmas 'special'
'To Hull and back'.

I did not know about the showing of the 1st episode and look forward to it now.

Thanks again for letting us know. :wavey:

I too love OFAH - Did you know the one featuring Robin and Batman was actually filmed in Bristol plus the last ones when became millionaires. The market was actually set in one that is held in Bristol City's ground and the flats they used overlook the ground. A relative lives in those flats and met Del Boy and Rodney and said they were really down to earth and friendly.
