Dan BB10 - Am I missing something?

I'm currently watching Big Brother 10 and was thinking that it was something Dan did later in the Season that made him so popular on the YouTube comments. However, even America voted him as their player. Am I missing something? I'm indifferent to the guy, though I like him a bit. He certainly lays low too much and I hate the throwing competitions thing. I'm doing it again. I didn't share the Janelle and Kaysar love either :(

So why is Dan so popular? Please no winner spoilers. I'm only to the point where Michelle is HOH, after Jessie left.

On another not, Libra :love: She has such a weird relationship with Keesha, they're like Dean and Lydia of BBUK 13.

The roulette veto situation alway threw me for a loop. I didn't understand why everybody thought that was such an amazing game move, it was just theatrics sure he got everyone to show their hands but they all agreed to do it.

Personally, my fave that year was Libra, but I also really liked Keesha, Dan and Memphis. I think people liked Dan because he was an underdog from the very beginning (as he was the only vote to stick his neck out by voting for Brian to stay) and was funny/entertaining on the feeds.

Because he was a legend. He played the game excellently whilst still being a really nice guy. For example, even though he wasn't per say aligned with Jerry, he always wished him goodnight to show respect for him. My favorite BBUS houseguest ever. Plus, now that he's out of the house he's still as down to earth as ever :)

He was cute and funny at times and an arguable candidate for the best player the game has had (not including his first week and the replacement nominee roulette) but I thought that other houseguests (Renny, Michelle, Libra, April and as much as I disliked her, Keesha) bought more to the house and I wouldn't have been too upset if he left earlier.

Would Dan be classified as a floater?

Anyway, I do love how he's like never a target. No one calls him a floater. I'd like to play Big Brother like him. I guess the thing is to not be a floater but be a lone wolf and be friendly with people. I hate the worship though but I'm turning.

Dan played well but I prefer Memphis' character. I hate the "everyone's best friend" type. Helped him win though.

If you're playing as an obvious lone wolf, you're going to be the pawn frequently, and the pawn usually goes home.
