If BB had "warned" Conor, why were they not prepared to discuss it openly on BBOTS ?

All we have had from BB on the matter is the Channel 5 spokesman, followed by the BB producer a few days later made short comments to the press to say that BB had "warned" Conor.

If they had then why weren't they prepared to discuss it openly on BBOTS ?

I'm not sure, however my guess would be neither channel 5 nor the producers of BB wanted to suggest there was a problem that mirrored any other incident, or had the potential to damage relations with other countries.
