With Trolley Dash all said and done, the next task the divided gang find themselves entangled in is called Sofa Hoppers – and it's set to decide which team – green or blue – takes ownership of the Living Area. This latest battle will involve our divided housemates hopping around on sofas, in different orders, to rank themselves in various categories. All the while, other housemates will be in the Diary Room, trying to guess what's going on in the garden.

At either end of both sets of sofas will be two signs saying MOST and LEAST. Big Brother is set to ask Housemates to sofa-hop into new positions on their settee, according to a particular category.

Once Housemates have settled into their positions, Big Brother will ask their pals in the Diary Room to guess the order their teammates are sitting in.

For every position Housemates get correct they'll win one point for their team. The team with the most points at the end of the game will win control of the Living Area and the losing team will be banned from the Sofa Area and Dining Table from that point on.

Everybody sitting comfortably? Some of our housemates won't be by the time the result of Sofa Hoppers comes in...

YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE – Playing for the Bedroom
The fourth challenge will likely prove to be controversial, as the housemates will have to guess who has been slagging them off!

Big Brother will ask each team to select two members to play ‘You Snooze You Lose’. These four housemates will be called to the Diary Room individually, where they will hear sound bites of juicy bedroom gossip. All they have to do is correctly guess who ‘dished the dirt’ to earn points.

The team with the most points will win the bedroom.

This will be interesting hmm..

Waking up on the floor after being banned from the bedroom, you would have thought the last thing the Blue team would want to do was bicker.

But these housemates love nothing better. And this morning it was a tin of anchovies that set them off.

There’s nothing like wasted salty fish to reveal housemates true colours. Luke A was upset at the blatant disregard for rationing and culprit Lauren worried she’d upset her friend.

Caroline and Shievonne, leapt to Lauren’s defence – quite out of character – telling her Luke A was ridiculous and not even worth worrying about.

Lauren appoligised to Luke, also revealing Shievonne had wasted food – opening a tin of rice pudding to see if she liked it – but wouldn’t own up.

Luke A who was washing up everyone’s plates at the time, told Lauren he had had enough.

He said, “If they want to be pathetic childish people let them, I’m sick of it.”

Lauren admitted she was worried about how Shievonne was behaving towards her having called her a snitch. Luke A, In full mentor mode, told her it was time to stick up for herself.

He said, “Do something about it and fight back. You are a feisty girl. You’re a strong girl. Don’t take it lying down. Be strong. Look at me. Be strong.”

Back in the bedroom Lauren confronted Shiev who responded in her characteristic riddles but we managed to untangle a few sentiments. Basically she claims she is upset with Lauren because of some old issue with cigarettes. And she thinks Lauren is isolating herself and shouldn’t hang out with her own enemy (and one-time almost love interest) Adam.

She said: “As a crew try not to isolate yourself. People aren’t going to vocalise it to you like I did. His (Adam’s) facade is slipping. The way he has been acting. I hear all this shady s**t he is saying it makes me cringe. He’s losing friends by the day”

Lauren who is easily swayed emerged from the pep talk totally confused. After all, she had basically been told she dump her bezzy mates.

She said: “He’s never done anything to me. He’s never been manipulative. Thanks for telling me. I’m not going to cut myself off from Luke A and Adam. But I’ll try and branch out.

These guys are meant to be a team. It’s only the third day of the task. Could all this bickering be the reason they are losing? If so, surely they should kiss and make up before they are limited to the living room.

Housemates will be competing to win control of the garden this evening on Day 3 of the Big Brother 2012 Turf Wars task.

Yesterday, the green team stormed in to the lead after grabbing the bathroom and bedroom, giving them a total of three rooms. The blues, meanwhile, have so far only won the sofas and dining table in the lounge.

For the next Turf Wars challenge, the group may get a slight sinking feeling as they play ‘Bail Out’. Two housemates from each team will board small rowing boats, each of which has two holes in the bottom blocked with bungs that are attached to ropes.

On Big Brother’s instruction, players must pull the bungs out of the holes. The boats will start sinking, and housemates must start ‘bailing out’ using the small buckets provided. The team whose boat sinks or flips over first will lose that round.

There will be three rounds, and the teams will chose which two of their members will play in each round. The team that triumphs in the majority of the three rounds will the garden.

Rules for Garden Division
Once the Garden has been won by either the blue or green team, flags will be placed in the Garden to mark thresholds that the losing team cannot cross.
The white walk way running from the bathroom, past the living area, then to the bedroom and down to the large task room will become a ‘neutral’ area. All housemates are permitted to travel around this walk way to get to areas that they are permitted to enter.
Housemates are not permitted to loiter in the ‘neutral’ area.
Housemates from the blue team have lost the bathroom and will be permitted to cross the threshold to the shower block. They are only permitted to shower and must then return to their own territory.
Housemates from the team that loose the Garden will still be permitted to smoke, but they are only allowed to smoke on the smoking stool which will be placed in the middle of the garden.
Only one person from the losing team will be permitted on the smoking stool at one time.
Once Housemates finish their cigarette they must cross back to their own territory immediately.
Housemates are reminded that crossing forbidden territories is forbidden. Housemates that do so will be punished.
