I used to watch the news all the time, but recently I just don't seem to watch it, I know practically nothing about the world's recent goings on. It's quite embarrassing actually, I blame Big Brother.

Sort it out fruity :nono:

I listen to the news on the radio

Nope, doesn't interest me. I rarely ever watch TV anyway.

If anything serious is happening social sites/forums soon fill me in.

Big Brother takes over my life, I'm such a saddo

Don't think I've ever chosen to watch it, have obviously seen it a few times when my mum or someone else has put it on, but that's it.

Very rarely

Phone hacking/banking/the eurozone stuff bores the **** out of me, and if it's not that, someone's died

So depressing

Nar the news and Media as a whole are ridiculous 95% of the time.

I clicked the wrong poll option - my apologies.

I only watch it if something worthy of my time happens, not all this Eurozone/banking tedium, as Marc said.

It's annoying the way they barely ever have anything happy to say.

I don't really watch normal TV - I record everything I watch - so no. But if I've watched all my recorded programmes and nothing else is on, I just stick on the news for background noise.

But now we have Choice of 15 News stations
so watching France24 or RT or FoxNewsHD or SkyNewsHD
is great as you get a Much bigger Outlook
than say Omah who trusts the BBC.

Even Bloomberg is Great
finding out more in depth
than say the Bloated BBC could ever do

CNCWorld is Great new one

I watch news, only if something big happens because I’m not interested in watching it. My mom used to turn on TV at the right time and she watches from the beginning to the end.

MTVN

Only really watch it occasionally if I'm bored but I listen to it quite a bit on the radio and read the paper/news websites every day

Occasionally yes, and if I do it's always Sky News and BBC London News.

I never watch the BBC News channel as it bores me to tears, Sky News is a miles better news channel.

Yes BBC are Dusty
looking down at paper all the time
and 2 presenters. (Bloated BBC)

However
BBCLondon News and ITVLondon News are both Great

SkyNewsHD
1 good presenter
1 reading just the headlines.
And not paper - they have Ipads
faster updates etc.

It all seems so contrived these days, not sure why that is.

But there is over 16 news channels
CNCWorld did a great report on the Fat people of Mexico
as the food has changed gone fast food etc
CNC are China
but great reports, for example.

And RT
Alonya Show
Live from America Attacks all the US Stations
showing bad reporting.

So there is a broad amount out there
that is great.

Cross Talk on RT

is Great as that presenter is American
and invites many British on his 30mins talk show.

You can learn more
as he invites
every viewpoint of a News Story

The way the ITV news starts with the big ben chimes..bong... 600000 die in a tsumani...bong... the Queen eats her breakfast... bong... Conor is evicted from the big brother house etc etc.

It just seems really sensationalised to me

I'm slightly embarassed at my ignorance here but quoting one of my favorite Big Brother housemates ever, John James, 'I don't give a rip about what goes on in the world'. As fruitcake said, Big Brother news is the only news that I choose to watch
