I would have given up the seat myself however firstly we don't know how long the guys had been in the diary room before Deana and Becky came in, we don't know either if Deana and Becky tried to sit on the ends of the chair and were told not to.

So a fair bit we don't know already.
As I said I would have offered them the seat,I therefore would agree there was little/no sign of gentlemanly conduct from the guys in that sense, by the same token from what I have seen of Deana and Becky's actions in the house too though,I could also go along with a view that there were no Ladies,in the real sense of the word, to give the seat up to in the diary room on that occasion.

I would have personally but I wouldn't say everyone should have, especially to those 2 anyway.
