Spoilers in regards to the changes Season 3 will bring- Please have a read- also included is what happens with the prison in the comics-

So basically here's how season 3 is going in regards to the trailer-

- We pick up where season 2 left off, the group round the camp-fire,
- Rick and Daryl discover the prison
- Rick pitches the prison to the group
- The group start clearing out the prison
meanwhile...
- Michonne and Adrea see an army helicopter go down
- They stay near the fallen helicopter
- Eventually, shortly after Michonne's trip to a chemist they are captured by the Governer and the Woodbury people
- First they are kept as prisoners
- Then the govener introdouces them to woodbury and the town
- Michonne does not trust the Governer as he has her Katana Sword
- Andrea bonds with the Governer and tells him of Rick's group
- The Governer goes to 'claim what's ours' and heads to a stand off moment with Rick outside the prison
- ...and Merle returns as a Woodbury guard!

For those interested, here's how the whole prison fiasco goes down in the comics...
- The whole group settle into the prison for a couple of weeks/months
- During these weeks/months Tyreese [T-Dog on tv] starts dating Carol but then Carol kills herself when she finds out Michone had him in the gym
- Hershel's farm is still in-tact and Rick head's to get Hershel and his remaining family to join the prison
- After a couple of weeks while out looking for Fuel Rick see's a helicopter
- Rick, Glenn and Michonne [who joins the prison after saving the group from the remaining hostile convicts] head out to the crashed helicopter
- They find tracks and follow the tracks to Woodbury
- In Woodbury they discover the helicopter was from an Atlanta News crew
- The Governer has a vile setup where they get civilians to fight each other as entertainment
- The Governer chops Rick's arm off
- Glenn is taken captive and the Governer violently rapes Michonne
- Eventually Rick, Glenn and Michonne escape with the help of Doctor Stevens and his assistand Alice
- Before Michonne leaves she visits the Governer and uses a variety of weapons to paralyse him [including nailing his prick to the floor]
- They return to the prison, though Doctor Stevens is killed on the way, they are also accompanied by a guard [Martinez]
- Martinez flees to tell the Governer of the prison's whereabouts, Rick kills him
- The Governer finds the prison eventually and many characters are killed in the battle for the prison including Hershel's family [minus Maggie]
- As the group flee the prison Lori and newly born daughter Judi are shot dead and Rick and Carl just manage to get out alive- [they later meet with Dale, Andrea ect who have already fled]

Confused as to why the army people in the helicopter are saying 'MAYDAY MAYDAY' on the intercom thing- does this hint at possibly a country not affected by the zombies yet- maybe they are returning from war or something? Just a thought!

The town of woodbury is a key point in the comics- it's very brutal!

Like everywhere- there's different volumes they're in-

Compendium One [Issues 1-48] I have this!
Compendium Two [out Oct, Issues 49-96]

Then the volumes [out twice yearly, hold 6 issues each]
Vol 1- Issues 1-6
Vol 2- Issues 7-12
vol 3- Issues 13-18
ect

I have Volumes 9-16 which follow on from the first compendium 'cos I didn't want to wait for the second compendium.

But now I'm starting to get the individual american monthly issues which are available from Forbidden Planet for £2 a month- recently got issue #100 :lovedup: cost me £7 though 'cos it's a chronium edition!

Hope this helps but yeah most books- amazon, play.com ect- amazing series- I prefer them to the tv series slightly and they are SO DIFFERENT-

Shane dies in the camp outside Atlanta at the end of Issue 6 [End of Vol 1] [In compendium- end of chapter 1]

It is an extremely long read though!

October 14th- just under 3 months, it looks miles better than season 2 which I think was very slow and tedious in places- it's really action packed this one- and also it's 16 EPISODES!

The seasons keep getting more and more episodes each year-
1- 6
2- 13
3- 16
4- 22?

Yeah that bit does happen in the trailer- just thought what could it mean, because if they were aware of the whole zombie apololypse surely they would know that their intercom things don't work? It's been a good year since the apoloclypse begun in the tv series and it's all pretty ruined so surely this may hint at something to come later on possibly?

What i'd like to see in both the comics and tv series is some sort of country that is not affected- Rick and the group make their way there but someone is hiding a bite and the 'safe colony' becomes affected?

Yeah I agree like some islands wouldn't be affected, that'd be an amazing storyline with someone in Rick's crew keeping a bite secret and Rick and Carl have to escape the island as the infection spreads!

I'd also like to see- somehow- not sure how- a character that's bitten but not affected by the virus? Possibly- just an idea- that are nicknamed 'The Immortal'. Or someone that dies of natural causes and dosen't turn? Like a community or colony that aren't affected and believe they are the last mortals or something...

No because later in the trailer the governer kills them, and his crew are out there looking for them. Also in the comics it's different, they are a tv station's crew and they crash and the Governer kidknaps them all.

Woodbury's not that advanced I don't think to have a helicopter.

On most of the Walking Dead forums people are saying that
T-Dog and Beth die in the season opener and possibly Carol.

In regards to Carol she's a hot mess in the comics that tries to lesbian Lori and eventually kills herself but I hope they don't make Carol kiss Lori in this 'cos she's pretty grim- Carol's not much in the trailer either so I suspect she dies
