Water
Not sure if I drink eight pints exactly but I drink a lot. We have loads of water bottles in our fridge and I drink a fair few each day.
I'm the only one in my family that likes water and yet its the only drink in the house that is unlimited :suspect:

Why would you want to drink 8 PINTS/4.5 LITRES of water a day?
http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pages/water-drinks.aspx
The Department of Health recommends that we should drink about 1.2 LITRES of fluid every day to stop us getting dehydrated. This works out to be about six 200ml or eight 150ml glasses, cups or mugs. In hotter climates, the body needs more water than this.
The total amount of water we lose each day and need to replace is in fact greater than this – about 2.5 litres – but we get 1 litre of the fluid we need from food and the body recovers 0.3 litres from chemical reactions in our cells. The rest needs to be taken from drinks.
All drinks count, but water, milk and fruit juices are the healthiest. It is best to avoid alcoholic drinks.

It's not 8 pints, it's 8 glasses and I'm pretty sure they're not even big glasses, you're meant to drink 1-2 litres at most. And I probably manage a litre, I drink a lot of herbal tea and juice as well though so it adds up.

I was gonna say 8 pints is crazy.

It's always from the tap though, I never buy bottled water.
http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/diet/healthy_eating/drinking-too-much-water-can-kill-you.htm
Health experts constantly encourage us to drink enough water to prevent dehydration and aim for 6-8 glasses a day. But after mum of two Dawn Page suffered an epileptic fit and was left brain damaged following advice to drink an extra four litres of water a day as part of an extreme detox diet, many of us have started wondering whether it’s possible to have too much of a good thing.
The answer in short, is yes! Like anything we consume, drinking excessive and extreme amounts of fluid – usually water – can result in ‘water intoxication’, a potentially fatal condition.
Ultimately, huge amounts of water upset the normal balance of electrolytes such as sodium in the body. For the body to function properly, concentrations of these electrolytes are held within narrow limits. If we drink a little more water than normal, our body effectively gets rid of the excess for example, in urine. However, if water enters our bodies more quickly than it can be removed, the electrolytes in our blood become diluted. When this happens, water passes from the blood into the cells and organs such as the brain, causing them to swell, which affects their normal function.
Early symptoms of water intoxication include light-headedness sometimes with nausea, vomiting, headaches and a general feeling of being unwell – in fact, very similar symptoms to those associated with dehydration! Unfortunately, if left untreated, mild symptoms can quickly lead to severe symptoms such as seizures, coma or even death within a few hours.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/7763038/Bottled-water-contains-more-bacteria-than-tap-water.html
A team of scientists found that 70 per cent of popular bottled water brands available in shops had high levels of bacteria.
The researchers from Ccrest Laboratories in Canada found that tap water had less bacteria than bottled water.
Microbiologist Dr Sonish Azam, of Ccrest Laboratories, said bottled water did not live up to its claims or purity.
She said: "Heterotrophic bacteria counts in some of the bottles were found to be in revolting figures of one hundred times more than the permitted limit."
Dr Azam said tighter controls needed to be put on bottled water manufacturers.
"Bottled water is not expected to be free from microorganisms but the [level] observed in this study is surprisingly very high," she said.
Dr Azam said there was no need to drink bottled water if tap water was of a good quality.
"Unsurprisingly, the consumer assumes that since bottled water carries a price tag, it is purer and safer than most tap water," she added.
Dr Azam said that the bacteria in bottled water is unlikely to cause disease.
"But the high levels of bacteria in bottled water could pose a risk for vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, infants, immunocompromised patients and the elderly," she said.
Nutritionist Dr Chris Fenn said there was no need to drink bottled water in the UK because tap water was so good.
"We're lucky in this country to have good quality tap water." she said. "There are problems with the amount of bacteria found in bottled water and there is a huge environmental cost of all the plastic used to make the bottles which then sit in the heat."

I love it and always make sure I have some every day with ice:).
When I said water, I meant just water. Not tea or coffee or any other drink, just pure tap/bottled water.
