I'm loving this season though, and it really feels like a return to the old school evil BB series.

i agree it was so centered around horrible Richard, and i couldn't stand him. It was hard for me to watch him.

The most camp person ever on BB calling himself "butch" and being such an asshole to all the other gay people on the show. I can't believe BB never punished him for his abhorrent behavior.

BB7 wasn't even that good The first couple of weeks were ok but after Nikki was evicted it was nothing. The only series this series has to compete with for that tittle is BB9.

I think so, too. I give this a slight edge over BB7 because we'll have a lot more interesting characters left since this is a shorter series. The downside is the lack of live feeds.

But it's definitely the best series after BB7.

I voted no, but it's definitely very close to being the best since 2005 though. The only difference is lack of characters like Saskia who told other housemates exactly what she thought of them to their faces e.g. Vanessa and Makosi as opposed to behind their back as is with this series.

Big Brother's played a big part in letting housemates know what others think of them by replaying discussions about nominations.

I think it might actually be. 7 and 9 both had amazing starts (up to Grace's eviction in BB7 and Bex's in BB9) but they kinda flamed out afterwards...I hated most of the housemates that made it far in both of those series, especially Darnell/Mohamed/Kat from BB9 (ugh I'm breaking out in hives just thinking about it)...

8 was just a hot mess from start to finish (redeemed somewhat by Charley and Chanelle :love:) but the last 5 weeks after they both left were a pile of ****e.

11 was, imo, the worst series ever. Yes, even worse than 4.

12 was aight but looking back I don't think it holds up that well compared to others.

I think 10 is the only serious competition this season has for best since 6.

I've only seen 2010 onwards but my torrent for BB7 is 94% downloaded :amazed: I'm going to watch that and see. BB7 is enjoyable so far but maybe as I didn't watch it at the time or as everyone looks at it through rose tinted glasses it doesn't seem that good. BB6 however looks amazing.

With live feed, even if it was just the late night live feed like on C4 and E4 then I really think this could well have been my new second favourite series of all time replacing BB10. Definitely the best since BB10 though for me. Ask me again in about six months though and I will give a definitive answer.;)

I don't agree with you. The main topic is BB13. The 'subject' is BB13 and then how it compares to others (or BB5).


I would have to say this season might be the best since BB9 which I will always insist was the peak, the standard of excellence and C4s 'masterpiece'.

Now, BB11. I have to say they put together a fantastic cast. The ONLY drawback being a few who were 'ruining it for everyone',
however,
BB11 can never be great because they destroyed most every premise, turned their own rules and (apparently in some hurry for BB All-stars) kind of slammed it through the last few weeks.

But this season they got it right with casting AND have actually kept themselves from screwing around with the rules, premises (well.. to some extent).
Best since BB9. Good job 5. I never thought I'd say that but good job 5

the white room twist was a farce, there was no real competition in it until Friday.

I liked Friday's eviction results but there's no big characters any more. The eviction of Caroline totally destroyed any hope of a climactic finish. I have people I like left, but their entertainment value is quite minimal. Adam, as much as I admire him, does nothing. Deana has fun moments but has become a little bogged down in her soldiers routine. Sara's a clueless go-between. I don't like any of the others.

Lame tasks, no creativity, stupid twists (family members nominating - just awful, giving away half of the prize fund - just as awfut etc), way too much negativity, many poor eviction results (losing Lydia, Chris, Benedict way too early) and I could go on. All the big characters left early, Chris, Lydia, Arron (even Victoria and Benedict were poor choices for evictees), and then recently Caroline and Conor. Vote to save has been destroyed this year, for a system that's supposed to save the big entertaining characters sadly it seems the voters who year after year on C4 killed series before their time have found a way around the problem, and have set out to do the same all over again. The fact that non-entities like Sara, Ashleigh, Luke S, Adam, Scott and Luke A are left is beyond a joke. For what was such a promising series in the early weeks, it's a shame that the potential was stripped away slightly by having the biggest characters leave early.

Having said that it has been non-stop drama from start to finish, it peaked early but has remained consistent enough. I expect it to quieten down a bit now all the big characters are gone but it's been a massive improvement on the last few series. A shame about the housemates left, but yeah, a really good series over all.

Season 6 is my favorite by far. Series 7 WOULD be if it hadn't of been for Richard and Mikey completely ruining it.
Season 9 was also really good, however the only downside was the winner and runner up.
Series 10/11 was **** and didn't watch 12 but apparently that was a train wreck. So I'd say this ones been quite average!
