Apparently in 2-3 weeks the mentors get the chance to join the game and win the big prize.
What do you all think?

Janelle will enter the game and win. Grodhog has decided.

*If* this is the case, I don't think I'll be particularly happy about it. I haven't much liked the seasons where they mix the old and the new. Besides, didn't Julie say that the coach whose team member wins stands to get £100K? For them to participate would seem somewhat contradictory...

There's no BB Celeb on this side of the pond, so they do their best to fit in all the freakish twists and turns they can in one shot. :joker:

Uh, I looked on twitter. Her and Britney think that they'll actually enter the game week 2 or 3. and they said on the launch show they'll be there until the end and whoever is coaching the winner gets $100,000.
You for sure misheard things.

Earlier Janelle and Britney were saying that they wanted Dan's team out so that he wouldn't have a chance to enter the game, so that it would be like two HoH weeks in one. So they're under the impression that if you still have a team at some point you'll get to enter the game.
Dan, Dan, Dan!! :worship:

So excited about Janelle and Dan being back, now I'll actually be watching
I can't imagine that they would actually let the coaches become eligible to win the top prize, as that flies in the face of everything they said on the premiere. Usually they tell viewers about a massive twist like that on launch night (like with the twins in BB5 or the duos in BB6 or what have you) even if they keep it secret from the houseguests. So I don't think it's likely.

Also, how long do coaches stay in the house? Will they stay until all of their players get evicted or do they stay the whole time? I'm a bit confused here.

it won't it's ratings suicide. I mean ratings suicide. If AG wants to keep her job and this show on the air. She WILL NOT DO SO.

Why exactly would it be ratings suicide and more importantly, what else are they going to do to compensate for the fact that they're losing four people in two weeks in an already small cast (even though I know you're going to say intruders)?

Either throw in two previous evictees or cancel this week's eviction just as they're going to announce the results for the week. Hell, I think they should reveal the results and then say "but because Willie was ejected from the game, he'll be treated as the evictee this week"

Well Jodi wasn't sequestered and to cancel the eviction would just be a waste for the players, viewers, and production.

Haha that would be awesome. They should do that. Announce that instead of the jury cut that Big Brother is going back to the old game for one week. Then we fake evict a hg. When they exit into the FOTH there's a screen saying This is not an eviction, please return to the house. Epic random WTF fun

Viewers are developing new relationships with the 'coaches'. CBS is not going to toss the coaches out of the game when their teams are all evicted. Once their team is gone they'll enter the game as a player. Once you're team is gone you don't have a shot at the $100k anymore.

it will be ratings suicide if they do it. The only way it won't be ratings suicide is if there's a bet with BB. BB/Julie offers them this bet: Big Brother will double the prize to 1 million if you let the vets into the game but you have the next four weeks to get them all out. If you fail the prize is 250,000 for all hgs.
I've seen alot of fans and former hgs on twitter that WILL TURN OFF the show if they let the vets into the game.

:joker: do you spend all day coming up with this crazy ideas for "twists" that won't ever happen?
And besides, you're seeing what, a few hundred, maybe thousand of fans who claim they will turn off the show (but some probably won't) if the vets come on? A few thousand or so out of 6 million or so? You still haven't given a reason why it'll be ratings "suicide" besides that a few people will complain. When has that ever stopped Grodner?

Um, actually, it would be ratings suicide if they kept the Coaches twist going. There's only 9 people playing the game right now and it's Week 2! It's already getting boring. If the coaches don't enter the game soon, it will be unwatchable.

There's only 8 people in the game though after this week. It's not going to be fun watching only 8 people play the game THIS early on. Normally there would be 13 or 12 people playing at this point.
