It's interesting watching this speech 4 years later. Has Obama lived up to all the kind words she said about him and for him?

Would things be different under 4 years of a Clinton Administration?

I can't say if she'd be a better President than Obama, but she has been OUTSTANDING as Secretary of State, and i sure wish we got the chance to see what kind of President she'd be.

I think she would have been a good President, she has, as has been said above, been in my opinion a really good and effective Secretary of State though.

bad taste? really? and Obama playing "99 problems but a bitch ain't 1" wasn't bad taste? gimme a f'ing break, and recently we've learned about how Obama pretty much lied throug-out his entire autobiography, so no Obama supporter can claim that HE didn't lie during his election aswell.

You wanna talking about lying? Didn't he say he was gonna close Guantanamo?? Didn't he say he was gonna fix the economy? Didn't he say he was going to get affordable healthcare for every American?

You wanna talk about lying during the 2008 election?? lol.

Is your username meant to be ironic?

She can still run for the Democratic ticket in 2016 which she would almost certainly win, and then she stands a good chance to win the presidency after that, assuming of course there still is a USA to preside over. But that's another story...!!!

A Truly clueless woman. Her policies (especially her foreign one) mean she could never ever be a successful president. Thank **** it won't happen too. Obama has gone back on half his promises, but he still remains better than any other possibility.

Don't get me started on her "GTA San Andreas" views too

she should never be forgiven for suggestion an assassination may change the democratic leadership campaign between her and obama. she would have been a dreadful president, she lacks the communication skills, the listening ability, the patience and humour required to endure the kind of abuse a president gets worldwide. she went ballistic the time the press merely asked her a question about bill. I cant say Ive noticed any notable achievements in her posts. but clearly radical women and radical gay rights people will always demand she would have done more than obama

for what its worth I think Obama overall has been a phenomenal president
he said he would go through everything with a scalpel and he has

the entire western economy was down the tube, the brits and yanks were knee deep in 2 endless wars, the world hated both nations, the stock markets had also collapsed, the banks and real estate were being bailed out trillions. bush the so called radical free marketeer, socialised the banks by bailing them with public money. total hypocrissy.

bill clinton was overall a great president. the economy especially boomed and he left bush a healthy economy, which he duly destroyed

the republican radicals and the corporates who own much of the media, were scared to death of obamanomics. this no one from chicago ran a campaign no one had ever seen before. he actually got the money off the average man on the street. he ended up with more cash than many republicans. thats the real free market at work.th egrass roots freemarket

firstly the wars. hes brought 1 to a close, the other is closing down slowly but surely
hes taken out bin laden and dozens of his former al quaeda hencmen, he also helped take out ghaddaffi

hes reduced military spending by a trillion (2 trillion less than romney wants to spend on war)he has managed to get a long term agreement to disarm 33% US nuclear missiles for 40% russian disarmourment. that is the exact right example he needs to set for future generations. he has given up the trillion dollar europe wide weapons defensive systems across europe. the fact is he is not a colonialist. he wants a better america and a better world and doesnt feel 1 has to thrive at the expense of another. guanatamo bay is 70% reduced in numbers and will surely close if he gets a second term. hes fought to close it every step of the way and the republicans have opposed him.

at home despite being in this nightmare, he still found the heart to fight to get healthcare for the poorest 50 million, God bless him for that. That is a monumental achievement that presidents had failed to achieve for the past 100 years or more.
those people dont get heard in mainstream america but they will be heard come election time. they deserve to be cared for by the system, its moral, its civilised, its right and america will feel the benefits of these 50 million healthier people.he has allowed and encouraged stem cell research, which may yet improve millions morelives, and save many too. he has invested billions in this area too

the economy. the stock market is at its second highest point in 9 years at 13400. this is the valuation of the biggest companies, so theyve done well under a democratic leader , just as they did under clinton.

hes invested 900 billion in industrial and infrastructure projects. this has created roads, electricity, plus its taken american car manufacturers back to the worlds biggest.
GM are top and chrysler are close behind.

unemployment rate is between 7.9 and 8.1% downfrom over 10% and 4 million private jobs created under obama. he has slashed hundreds of thousands of public sector jobs. the majorityof new jobs are in small to medium business, whom he has provided many tax breaks, grants and incentives to employ new staff. the man is rebalancing a top heavy economy

meanwhile obama has come doen heavy on corporate corruption. in february a record fine for fraud of £30 billion was imposed on 1 real estate company, $25 billion on bp, glaxo smith kline $3billion, goldman sachs $550million for improper dealings, the list goes on....hes brought in way more regulation of the banks than we have in the UK. he has fixed penalties for late repayments of bank loans to the treasury.

this mess will take decades to fix. he has done all the right things, the only reason he hasnt done more, is simply the obfuscation of the radical right in congress.

to think the main right wing news channel and right wing paper in the US is owned by the disgusting , corrupt , exposed megalomaniac that is murdoch, says it all. we now all know what that man is and what his organisations do. so the fact they have a 24 hr obama witch hunt should tell you that obama is doing the right things because these enemies are rotten to the core and they fear him.thye refer to him as the kenyan in recent times, oh dear, what desperados.

he has even managed to stay dignified and polite as far as possible, his restraint has been awesome under serious provocation. brack and michelle are legendary speakers, but they mean what they say imho.

i dont think for a second hes anti free market, nor do I think hes a socialist. hes middle of the road, balanced economy, a welfare that protects the weak sick eledrly, disabled. a healthy vibrant balanced economy offering local jobs to local people. he has also smacked bigger tariffs on the chinese imports than bush ever did. bush was trying to sell US ports to the arabs? meanwhile the us economy is also hurting from the collapse in europe. this is outside obamas control, but he has successfully persuaded the european leaders to act more decisively and stimulate their economies. whilst this devalues the currency, doing nothing was not an options.

obama is also fighting to tighten gun laws, a must, in a country of 300 million guns and hyped news channels selling fear (and guns), the armoury and weapons are simply too readily available.

from the ghetko, obama said he is everyones president, all faiths, all no faiths, all immigrants all american born, all men, all women, all sexual, gay people, hetrosexual people, non sexual people, elderly, sick, disabled, all ethnicities, all cultures under one umbrella called the USA. he has not taken away benefits from the sick and disabled and he has stated he supports gay marriage too.

romney has dismissed half the nation as not his problem?

it is for these reasons and for the man he is and wants to be,that obama has allowed the us to gain more respect in the past few years

The main challenge is to win, to stay safe, then to steup up the gameplan. push this republican congress to finally get these bills through. their stagnation is a national disgrace. gitmo must close, the drone strikes must cease, the unemployment rate must keep falling, he needs europe to sort its act out

hes been a victim of circumstance, but hes not acted like a victim, hes not had a siege mentality. in hard times, you need to build, to grow to invest in a future you believe in. That is the very definition of what optimism is.

the US growth is exceeding that in european countries and its a groth that will continue imho. The stock market is booming, the retail spending is growing considerably yera on year as is the rate of successful start up companies.

hes announced at least 2 trillion in savings on military alone. depsite this, the us military is still bigger than the other 10 biggest armed nations combined.

bush talked the talk, obama walked the walk. hes gone after the real crooks, the corporate crooks and he will continue to do so. he wants a real competitive america, not a corrupt monopoly of corporate cartels.

the other major question to tackle next, is the middle east. obama has imposed enormous sanctions on iran, he is supprting the arab spring. he has not stoked up needless hatred on news channels the way bush did. he has not inflamed the middle east like bush did, like fox news do. any fool can go on there and say stupid things just to whip up hysteria. thats totally irresponsible. obama has shown immense restraint.

he needs to tread carefully. the world needs the iranians to be inspected again. their leader sounded a little more reticent lately. iran is not the source of all evil. its a proud nation with a remarkable history. it would be tragic to see it all destroyed on the back of this man. i really dont see how launching an attack on such a vast nation at this stage would be beneficial to anyone. its a nightmare to deal with and I give obama my 100% backing to try and sort it out.

Excellent post! Agree with everything you say. I love Obama. He has done so much as a President. The reform of the health care system has made history. He has fought so hard for that! I really hope he's elected again. I like Hilary Clinton. She's an amazing woman. But i don't think she's got what it takes to be President. But she's good at what she does. :)

Cheers. :wavey:
