View Full Version : Lauren came across really well tonight

In the DR she was mature and very aware. She knows what's going on in there and knew there probably wasn't much she could do about it. THIS is one of the many reasons why she should stay this week. Luke A seems to be going down the 'poor me' route and we can't be having that :bored:

tbf Joe Lauren has done a lot of 'poor me' in her time

idk though watching now :-)

Lauren is a good person... she isnt stupid and she deserves to win...

Yes but she had very valid reasons :hmph: Luke A's seemed fabricated at best. The whole "it would be nice to be popular once" was quite ridiculous for a man in his 30's

She can be too moody for me at times, but other than that I like her and hope she will be in the final. She was great tonight.

No surprise she took being up for eviction very well. She gets a lot of grief for her more childish side when some of the others can be just as bad if not worse. She clearly has a mature side to her that she doesn't get enough credit for. I do like Luke A, but think more of Lauren's fun side might show if he is evicted.

I hope she stays and reaches the final, and right now for me she is 2nd behind Deana!

I completely agree! luke a was looking for compliments from deana, then the 'poor me' act in the diary room. :bored:

she didn't come of well to me. s stirring about deana to adam. why she keeps doin that is why no one trusts her. she handled the noms well enough though. but nah after watching bbbots i might save luke a. she's let herself down

can someone please tell me you know the highlight show last night when adam went to another bed, while lauren was in the toilet she said something about everyone a playing a game here, was she refering to deana who adam was negative too or was it regarding adam being a bitch about moving beds etc

she needs to sign up to the Sara/Deana alliance and stop wasting her time with Luke A and Adam

The second half she did but she came across way too paranoid at the start of the show following after Scott to see who he was talking to and then her and Luke A convincing themselves they needed to fail the spaghetti task.. if only they actually tried there's a good chance they could have been winning immunity rather than facing eviction

I think what Jet said about her on BOTS seemed accurate, the longer she's in that house the better she's getting, she seems to be maturing at a staggering rate. I really like her, just used up the last of my FB credits on her

I'm sorry, i just don't see it....
I can't understand how she swings from this strong rational person, to a winging brat to a pricktease....
Throwing the task was stupid, and winding adam up against deana was horrible.

I love how well she took it, she got nominated by 7 people face-to-face and she didn't let them see her upset because I'd feel pretty gutted if it happened to me, will be voting for her this week because she needs to stay

That exclusive shown on BOTS a few days ago after they had all nominated when Luke A was crying and Lauren was returning the favour to Luke A by telling him to not let them get to him. It wasn't shown on the highlights.:bored:

I've not had a favourite this year at all which is surprising for me, but I'm starting to really like her now as well.

Out of all the HM's I think she will be the only one who has grown and will have learnt a lot from the BB experience.

She's only 20 and has lived on an island so is bound to have come into the house not being in too much control of her emotions, reactions, thoughts and feelings to those outside of her family and friends. She has been bullied, ostrasized and attacked from most of the girls and some of the boys from day 1 of entering the house. But she's faught through it all and, to me, has become the better person for it.

Good luck to her and I hope she makes it through this Friday as she deserves to be in the final. If either her, Adam or Deana (who I'm not 100% sure is genuine but would rather her than any insider) win I will be happy.

She's not perfect. but she gets my vote. The way she has dealt with the schoolgirl type 'baiting' has been very commendable. She has mainly stuck to her guns, been challenged and OTHERS have been found wanting, and though her main problem is she just wanted to be 'friends' with sharks, she has learnt fast.

At least we see her putting a question to becky tonight, I hope.....:nono:

Not sure exactly what happened there but I am interested to know. I have just watched it and didn't see this. All I saw was Rebecca bitching about her again in the kitchen and Luke S joining in with Ashleigh making it worse.

It's annoying that she still has a grudge against Deana for nominating her Week 3 (before they were even friends, hello!).

So a strong rational person isn't allowed to be selfish and emotional at times?

And pricktease? Considering the "tactic" of most of the male HM's is to walk around topless all day long and the half arsed, worst ever, showmance that we are witnessing, yet Lauren is a pricktease...

Spot on. Lauren's worst fault seems to be her desire to get along with people. That and her obsession with bacon.

Conors nomination said it all, he was upset that she reported back to BB about his rule breaking. In essence he was blaming her for his bad behaviour.

The conversation between Luke S and Conor is another classic example of Lauren "hate". Luke S was admitting to Conor that his relationship with Ash wasn't real, which he admitted in the "interview" task. But then switched the conversation to how "fake" Lauren was.

The food incident between Becky and Lauren is another fine example. Becky goes into call Caroline out for food, but she doesn't want it. So its offered to Lauren, who also doesn't want it. Becky then stormed off and started the whole house bitching about Lauren and how "fake" she is. That bitch fest included Caroline, who had previously said to Lauren that she'd sort it out...

Through all of this Lauren has, for the most part, kept smiling and has continued to try and be part of the team. Says it all really...

No, a strong rational person does not revert to temper tamtrums a 2yr old would be proud of.
Lauren is starting to use her sexuality to influence adam and the public, a blond cartwheeling around in tiny pants or a bloke sat smoking?
she will pull out all the stops to stay.

And that fake relationship between Luke S and Ash?

Life is all about comparisons. Context is very important when calling someone a "pricktease" in a confined space, such as the BB house. An environment that is not only mentally challenging, but is being viewed by millions.

The question of "pricktease" is as old as the hills. A girl who is relaxed in male company, who is relatively attractive, is instantly vilified. Yet a man doing the same is considered to be an "alpha-male". But it really comes down to sexism.

On the whole Lauren hasn't done all that much. A little footsie with a friend, a couple of handstands and has been used as a weight lift. However since entering the house she hasn't shown any interest in developing a romantic relationship. But others have used her slightly flirty, girly, nature against her. Why? Because a flirty girl is instantly considered a "pricktease".

But others can walk around half naked and no comment is ever passed...

She was simulating lapdancing on adam, gyrating and using her body in a sexually provocative manner.
Last night she got in bed with him and deans and stated ' I have no knickers on and my fanny is hanging out'
#pricktease.

I didn't think Lauren came across particularly well when she was saying to Deana "you need to show us that we can trust you". It was like she was spokesman for the group and Deana was once again an outsider. Besides, Lauren hasn't shown herself to be particularly trustworthy while she's been in there.

I kind of agree with Kizzy, the temper tantrums are very childish for a 20 year old.

Im not quite sure yet if Lauren is flirting not realising how sexual she is with Adam, this could be the norm with Lauren & men, friendly & flirty or if she knows exactly what she is doing, i mean grinding herself against Adams head didnt look good, he was baffled by it as well.

kefln
19-07-2012, 11:35 AM
Again its all about context.

If she’s aware that Adam has a thing for her, as we the viewers are, then a lap dance might be considered a step over the line. Although most men would be delighted to have such attention. But if she still considers him as just a friend, then its about as sexual as getting into a head locking contest.

Imagine having nothing to do all day but talk to a couple of people, the same couple of people. After about week 7, all your stories have been told twice and the bitching is boring. So nearly anything you do is for entertainment purposes.

As for the temper tantrums, they are fairly childish, extreme and mainly flashes in the pan. There are others who have generally not stopped sulking since they went in…

Adam is in his late 20's and an ex Gangster who at one time was probably used to being around tons of women who he most likely didn't think very highly of. I don't buy this love sick puppy act for a second.

Do we know what he was convicted of? I'd like to know before I decide whether I think of him as a "gangster" or just a petty criminal. Neither of which is particularly attractive...
