Caroline is vastly more immature, despite them being the same age. It probably has more to do with the sheltered life she's had up until the moment she walked into that house. I don't know how the girl thinks she's going to survive as a "film studies" student - they're going to expect her to critique scenes that contain nudity and bodily functions. I think they're both pretty immature in their own way. Caroline is still immersed in the ways of the playground and school girl type 'gangs'. Lauren, on the other hand is sometimes quite mature and wise eg when she gave Becky a dressing down for squealing to the insiders; but she's also capable of extreme immaturity a la the enormous strop she threw when Adam had the cheek to eat the last piece of bacon.

I'm not sure how mature you are supposed to be at 19 in any case. As far as I can remember I was pretty ditsy at that age and I thought I knew it all!
