I will be leaving you all for sunnier Spanish shores on Saturday for six weeks :blush:

you can be related to people who are from a place but not be from that place yourself, like the Queen and Prince Philip are related one is from England the other Greece

Going to Majorca on Saturday. I've been off six weeks now and it gets boring so I cant wait for two weeks of doing something different

Yeah, it's a nice spot, it's not in a very touristy area and the people are lovely even though my Spanish/Catalan isn't good and not many of them speak a word of English either but they're really helpful. I'll need to get some lessons from you fruity :laugh:

aha, yes Niamh, I will have to start a thread! although it would have to be only Spanish as I know very little Catalan unfortunately. I don't know your part of Spain that well. I was in Barcelona but it was about 20 years ago now. We stay in Santander, but I'm thinking of going Camping this summer to Galicia with a few friends and relatives. Hopefully it won't rain although the weather in the north is not as reliable as the south. Either way it can't be any worse than this terrible, terrible summer we're having!!

I love the north though, it's much greener up there and less over run with holiday developments, I would have loved to get a house somewhere near Barcelona but I'd need to win the lottery first :laugh:
