You cant read this?

On 23 April, the four remaining wild-card housemates not selected to enter the House via the public vote on Days 1 and 2 were isolated in the "White Room". The housemates were Cruz, Demet, Kara, and Harrison. The White Room and its fixtures and fittings were all entirely white, and the housemates had only white clothes to wear. White Room housemates were provided with a white porridge which fulfilled all nutritional needs.[25] In the centre of the room was a red button. At any time, a housemate could press the red button if they wished to leave. This decision to leave was final and the quitting housemate could not return to the Big Brother House or the White Room. The challenge was that the housemate who stayed in the White Room the longest without pressing the red button would become a legitimate Big Brother housemate and enter the main house with the rest of the housemates. Monitors in the Big Brother House allowed the housemates to watch, without audio, the White Room housemates at all times. The White Room housemates were unaware that they were being watched by the Big Brother housemates. Cruz was the first white room resident evicted when he pressed the red button after Big Brother offered $750 to whoever pushed the red button first.[26] In the days after Cruz departed no one else volunteered to leave, so Big Brother ran a set of challenges to decide who from the White Room would move to the main house. First, Kara was evicted when Harrison and Demet nominated her.[27] Then, the Big Brother housemates lodged their votes on who they wanted in the house.[28] Demet won the vote and became an official housemate.[29]

Makes no sense, why a new entry a week before when they have way too many HMs right now.

Scott-

Remaining wild cards not selected to enter the house entered 'The White Room', basics in there everythings white [this sounds racist], red button in middle of room if they want to leave at any time, housemates watch the white room, Big Bro tries to tempt them to press the button- if they don't they go in house.

TBH, I didn't even in BB7, maybe because I was young and was like k kwl.

Bit late in the series, this would have been perfect around now. If it was a 13 week series, I'd be like :amazed:

I bet they'll make it so the public votes for the nominees and the nominees have to go into the white room until one get's cabin fever? If they leave before the friday they come back for an interview- if they haven't left by friday then the housemates vote for one to return via secret ballot.

I think it's 4 people go in there on like the Friday before. People buzzing and wanting to get will immediately leave? Then on that Wednesday if anyone is left in there, they would open a public vote and the one with the most save votes returns to the house?

3 people would leave in that week. I have no idea... **** knows.

Becky would last a day on the white porridge and then start eating all the fixtures and fittings!

No, she came back and was actually eligible to win - that's why it was such a controversy, because people had paid money to C4 to evict her and then she was brought back as a full and proper housemate.

A twist looks set to take place on Wednesday 1st August after a mysterious show called ‘Big Brother: The White Room’ appeared on Channel 5′s schedules.

According to official listings released by the broadcaster, the 90-minute long episode will air at 9.00pm, followed by ‘Big Brother’s Bit On The Side: White Room Live’ at 10.30pm.

Details – including whether or not it will be hosted by Brian Dowling – are yet to be confirmed.

The show’s name suggests it will borrow from the White Room twist seen on Big Brother Australia in 2007, which involved four late entrants (or ‘intruders’) living in a completely white room for an indefinite period, while wearing only white clothes and eating white foods.

At the centre of the room was a red button, which they could press if they wished to leave. The person who lasted the longest moved in to the main house as a fully fledged housemate.

However, with Big Brother 2012 expected to end in mid August, it is unlikely that any new housemates will be involved.

Stay tuned to bbspy for more information as we get it!

It would be lovely if the public could choose 4 housemates to go into the white room and then the housemates left in the house could watch them all and at the end of a week they would have to nominate one of them to be saved. The other 3 then leave! Would be a good way to reduce the numbers so close to the final. Would be so happy to see

Luke S
Ashleigh
Conor
Becky

all put in the white room. The remaining housemates decide to kick out Ash and Luke as they don't want to split them up and then also get rid of Conor because they all like Becky more. Would be a perfect outcome

All up vote to save the four housemates with the least votes will move into the white room thats waht Im guessing. Housemates who push the buzzer will be evicted. If its vote to move I will scream because they promised they had gotten rid of vote to evict for GOOD. Horrible voting system which has for ever ruined how we view the show looking for faults in the housemates constantly.

So this is what the other bedroom is for.

It's possible, they did it with Nikki Graham, but iirc she couldn't win the money.

She could but they won't do it like that again, PEJ said on DS it was one of his biggest regrets about his time on the show (after putting Jade in CBB7). and people who were on the crew then will know that, ofcom got hundreds of complaints over it.

This sounds very promising and exciting, I hope for once they don't **** it up and it turns out to be something sh*te.

Would love the ex-housemates idea. But I reckon this'll be how they'll cut the numbers down in time for the final, nominees (minimum of four?) go in there and the last one standing gets to remain (and therefore makes the final if it's in time for that) while the others are evicted because they pushed the button.

I would have thought it was too late, and I've already signed a contract to be filming on the 1st of August, so that would just be a very frustrating development if they did ask me. :cloud: I think the theory that they will use the White Room to whittle down surplus HMs before the end of the series is the most likely, as there have been no walkers (though in that case, they may be underestimating their determination to stay unless the White Room is a very effective "applied stress" tactic).

If I could, I certainly would do it, but not at the risk of being sued ... I think it unlikely, though. Even if they are bringing in some new HMs, which doesn't seem to be something they are at all keen on, they will surely pick some applicants who have yet to be seen publicly.

Doesn't have to wildcard housemates. I think evicted housemates will go into this white room, Lydia, Benedict, Chris etc. One makes it back into the house on the Friday, and maybe even chooses 4 people to be up for a double mid-week eviction in the middle of the final week?

Far too late in the series to allow Bhaveish or Anthony in - too many housemates, the show is almost over because silly CBB has to ruin it - and Anthony and Bhaveish have been viewing it for the past month so know what's going on etc

I'd like to see it done with a select few of our housemates; call about 3 of them to the Diary Room.

Three go in, only one comes back.
That's the perfect way to get rid of them in time for the final.

I reckon it'll be an all up vote to save & the 3/4 with the lowest enter the White room.
Assuming Luke A goes this week & hopefully Becky next. That means Ashleigh, Luke S, Caroline & Scott/Conor/Sara might be in it & only 1 stays?

That leaves 6 housemates left, & If the White room lasts a week, It's around a week before the final so a vote to win & a mid week eviction leaving 5 people in the final

That does seem astonishingly unfair on someone who decided to tough it out in the hope of getting the full prize fund, though the House rules do specify that BB can change the rules whenever it pleases, so they wouldn't really be in a position to complain.

If they ask the housemates to nominate who goes in it's bound to be - Deana, Lauren, Adam, Conor and Caroline/Becky. It'd be like the BB11 quad eviction all over again  I hope it's what MM&I suggested and we get a vote to save with the most boring ones getting put in there...

This will be so awesome, but I can't see how it would pan out. I just hope they don't mess up and put Deana and other good housemates in there. The best way seems to be the four with the lowest votes (inevitably Ashleigh, Luke S, Scott and probably Conor/Sara?) and only one gets let back in. That would be cool!

Thats true! I could really imagine Deana offering to quit...it would be so bad!

I have to say I absolutely loved it when Eugene took half of Anthony's prize fund but then I loved Eugene and I thought Anthony was one of the worst winners ever!

 I liked Eugene and I hated Anthony, what a bad winner in a great series, but you have to admit its kind of unfair...besides, in that situatuion specifically, who knows if Eugene wouldnt have won instead of Anthony (he probably would)

I don't think this twist looks exciting.

2 evictions until the white room twist, Leaving 8 housemates in the house at the time of the twist. These 8 possibly split into 2 teams of 4, the loosing team goes into the white room with only one housemate re entering the house?

i see that happening
