And it was Becky who called lauren a wooden spoon last nite,(abetted by sad luke S), so why wasn't she dragged to the DR like caroline? Have they just reacted to message boards??

Why is Caroline's crying a surprise? Since she entered the house she has repeated the same pattern of 1. act atrociously 2. get caught and be confronted 3.grovel and feign ignorance 4.wait until the dust settles, and return to 1.
She is fully aware of this pattern and instead of changing it, has opted to portray it as regrettable but uncharacteristic behaviour by telling everyone "You're really nice and I really like you but sometimes (the few times you catch me, we'll pretend the other 400 where you don't never happened) I'm bitchy and I don't know why. It's like a disease. I can't help it. It's not personal. I promise." Many of the housemates foolishly embrace this, and now she fears she has been caught out by the nation, she is just upscaling level 3 to con us all. Caroline celebrates the repugnant aspect of her nature as was demonstrated by her laughing about everyone one that holiday describing her as horrid.
If she was truly remorseful, she'd have apologised unreservedly to all and would have explained to the insiders why they should stop being vile. Walking away shows no impetus to undo past wrongs, only a desire to distance herself from more negative press. Instead there was a stilted and highly edited conversation with Conor about how "we've really got to be careful what we say". This is just to avoid ejection from the house and being hated, and to warn her buddies to be more sly. It is not a marker of rehabilitation. When she leaves the house, I can easily imagine her sitting with her friends laughing about how all she had to do was cry and she was forgiven.
If alcohol made me violent and I was truly disgusted at my behaviour, I would throw the booze down the sink. If Caroline is sure the BB House has made her vile and she was truly repentant, she'd make peace and leave.

I think Caroline leaving the room when Becky starting being her usual beastly self was a genuine sign that she felt remorse, she has never done that before. Becky on the other hand is a total monster and has just jumped on the bandwagon, but excelled herself into showing her true colours as an absolute annoying green-eyed waste of space blob.

She will be in a state because she normal startd her noms campaign as soon as the Tuesday results are announced. Finally BB have stopped her criticising housemates and leading other housemates with the help of Connor to nominate the same housemates.
That is why Connor told Caroline not to change, just be yourself he said.
