With Caroline's friend.. it was just her opinion and I don't think she should have behaved in that way, like laughing at some of the things she said while the girl was trying to stick up for Caroline..

Do you think the same or was she behaving okay?

Bit rude I thought too but Celia was talking ****e.

Yeah I guess, but it's her friend. She probably knows that Caroline is doing quite badly in there but she has to think of some lame excuse to protect her

I'd have behaved the exact same way as Emma. Caroline's friend was literally trying to justify her bullying ways, and then she had the nerve to call out the other nicer housemates? Deluded twat.

She was talking sh*te, when you start off by saying Caroline's not bitchy you lose all credibility.

Yeah but she is the shows host, when the host laughs, it encourages the audience to laugh. Just don't think it was nice. Technically it was manipulating the audience to laugh and mock Caroline's friend which is exactly what Carolinie' is doing.. oops, Emma is a bully?!

Her friend would have had more luck focusing on Caroline tonight instead if trying to claim she hasn't bitched at all

Caroline's friend was kind of trying to shrug off Caroline's behavior as acceptable, which after the recent outcry, it would have been dangerous for Emma not to disagree with that.

She can't really win because if she just stood there and agreed with Carolines deluded friend people would say she's full of **** and defending a bully etc...

Didn't watch but well done for laughing at the woman, she's probably as deluded as Corrosive Carol is.

Caroline and Becky disrespectfully sniggered and laughed at Luke A as he gave reasons for nominating them.... perhaps Emma was taking the p***

Nope she wasn't being snotty at all, she was being the complete opposite! She was sticking up for Luke. Her laugh at the end was so funny, Emma even turned away to laugh haha.

Just listened to the convo between Emma and Caroline's friend 'Celia' on BBOTS...um...what a stuck up bitch! Just like Caroline. They are just projecting their own personalities on to other people. CAROLINE is calculating. Luke is not. She, and apparently her friend, cannot fathom that not everyone is a calculating bitch. Some people are actually mostly nice. This is beyond their realm of understanding.

Have to say, I found Emma as the presenter quite rude considering Celia was a friend of Caroline's,her very curt bye to end the call was even more rude.
Emma is going well down in my opinion of her this series.

Love her passion for the show but she is far too opininated even for an opinion show which is why she hasnt been given the Live show hosting job. What is the point of having a guest if you are not going to listen and respond to their opinions? She did this with the nom talk telling everyone it was a bad idea and that it should be reversed. She can be very patronising.

Not really. It's called debate and Emma is entitled to her opinion just as much as Caroline's friend.

I strongly suspect that Caroline's friend who rang up BOTS is the same deluded bellend who posts on DS. At first, I thought it was a WUM pretending to be one of Caroline's friends, but I do think she is the same person now. Her posts are laughable at best. Her thread accusing Adam of bullying Caroline when he was slowly pushing her on a roundabout is surreal.

Oh my god this. She's so irritating, if the topic isn't what she wants to talk about she'll quickly change it, and also tonight my god she wouldn't let Lydia speak, kept cutting her off with that ridiculous voice of hers. She asks for someone's opinion and then when they're about to give it, interrupts with hers!

To be fair, she, like most presenters, wears an ear piece. Through that she will be told by the production team to move on to the next question if they're running behind schedule. I know it's annoying, but it's not really her fault.

I think folk like Caroline's pal probably don't think likening Adam to a simian animal is bad.

However, Emma really didn't like the girl that was obvious.

Lol, in my opinion she should know she creates the atmosphere as the host. If she laughs and jokes then the audience do as well. She kept acting like a bitchy little school girl pulling faces and turning around laughing to the audience. As the host that's not really her role, she can give her opinion but the laughing and pulling faces wasn't nice.

I had no issues with how she handled it at all. It may as well have actually been Caroline for what she said it was pathetic drivel - if you put yourself on show on national tv (particularly a show like bit on the side) you'd better know what youre lettin yourself in for.

Caroline has NO defense end of story

Emma can be rude opinionated and often in distracted hurry, but I don't think she was in this case.
She is very opinionated but the producers allowed Davina to be so why not Emma.
I prefer a more objective host even though I do think Caroline's behaviour is indefensible.
Celia's laugh at the end was confirmation that for me she was masking her anger at being disagreed with. It was a real "shut the eff up"

I don't think Emma intended to be bitchy. The problem was that Carolines friend was in denial about Carolines behavour and that came across as down right funny.

I did feel for the friend however when other members on the celebrity panel were just sniggering. It would have been polite the try and stifle the sniggering.....

I agree. Celia proved that Caroline lied when she was crying in the Diary toom saying it was the House that had made her bitchy. Her friend comes on and says there is nothing wrong with what Caroline says.
This really riled Emma. The audience did not need any encouragement as they heard the words at the same time as Emma.

I think I agree with most of the replies so far inasmuch as Caroline's friend was talking complete and utter crap. I think perhaps she has been watching a different show to the rest of us and this I think was the reason Emma may have come across slightly patronising. To be fair I think she held it together quite well considering the verbal diarrhoea that was coming her direction.

Also on a more general point Emma Willis is very good at presenting BBBOTS, compare her to the awkward , charmless , unfunny weekend stand-in (Alice Levine) and I think the difference in class is clear....!!!!!

I thought that woman was annoying when she was pregnant but this year she has gotten even worse! Caroline's friend had taken time out of her day to speak to them, she was nothing but polite so weather what she is saying is true or not she does need to be cut off by that striking voice when she is answering a question she asked her or dismissed in the way she was! I found every single person in the studio to be horrid the way they started cackling over everything she was trying to say.

I think you're being completely OTT. In what way was Emma being 'bitchy?' It's called debate and there are two sides in a debate, not just one. She was only expressing her opinion, just like Caroline's friend was and they were both entitled to their opinions. Some people are so melodramatic it's laughable.
