Where has his game plan gone wrong?

For the first few weeks Luke S felt like a contender.

He had the girl, the looks (apparently) the cunning hint of being an enigma
but over last 2 weeks he's looking increasingly irrelevant.

Where has it gone wrong?

He hasn't got the personality, no one ever won the show purely because they got a girl and were good looking. If his aim was to get the girl and avoid being nominated however then that has worked for him so far

Has it gone wrong? I think he's almost a cert for the final and can't see him getting nommed, he gets along with most of them in there and I can see him getting votes because he's a pretty nice guy really, he's had a romance and he's probably quite popular among teenage girls

But what's the point in being in final and not being a contender? Eg Everyone bar Josie BB12. Andrew???

I think it's better to be out now, get a few BBOTS shows under belt and cheesy Daily Star interview etc. When final approaches it will be time for CBB and only the winner will get any attention. I'd rather be out now (not next week due to Olympics clash) than face the embarassment of being first or second out in a 6-person final.

Fwiw, I don't think Luke S. and his plan are at all off-course, at least not in his own opinion. Like MTVN said, popular enough, most likely won't get nominated. Just built up a "friendship" with Luke A, has stayed off Deana's radar enough while leaving Conor in her sights, etc etc.

Luke S has polled in the bottom 3 with Ashleigh on the favourite polls for weeks on end now all over the internet (here, DS, Tellymix etc.), he definitely wont be winning.

In general hes more liked but the other Insiders have more fans than him.

He played the first few weeks perfectly. The relationship, going under the radar to avoid nominations, not letting his disagreement with Chris turn into the argument Chris was leading it into, forming a large group that would stick together.

But really he could have done with Ashleigh being evicted midway through the series. If that had happened he'd have had a better chance at getting more airtime and letting himself go a bit. Will probably make the final week now but unless something big happens between now and then he hasn't got a shot at winning.

His problem is that he cannot really shine with Ashleigh always there, in the tasks when he has been separate from her he is a really good and entertaining housemate overall.
He hasn't seen that, hopefully sometime over the next 3 weeks or so he will and then really step forward and go for it.

I still think the public like him enough to take him to the final even if he was nominated for eviction, once there anything could happen.

He's trying to use someone else's plan - he doesn't have personality to pull off what he tried to do. Unfortunately, everything about him is redundant - Arron was prettier, Conor is more charismatic, Luke A is a better cook, Adam has more life experience, Benedict had more intelligence, Scott has more sense of humor, and Chris was more extroverted. The only place he wins out is vanity, and even there, Arron gave him a run for the money.
