I've always wondered about the one's who go in there with jobs. Would BB pay their employer to cover a temp worker for their role while they are not in the house and some sort of fee to cover any disruption to the working environment.

There was a lawsuit in France where the court decided that reality show contestants must be paid atleast minnimum wage. What is the minimum wage in britain? times it by 24 hours for however many days they are in there.

I doubt that anyone leaves the house with less than 5,000 pounds.

I recall it was about $70 a day (this is way back to BB5 USA) and so I would guesstimate 30 (quid) a day for BBUK sounds right yeah.

Yes, its basically 'minimum wage' and its mandatory union type of stuff and not so much a choice of BB.
