I simply can't bring myself to watch this series anymore.

It makes me feel beyond uncomfortable watching the constant bullying that goes on inside that house. Most of the people on this year's Big Brother - even though I don't know them personally - are bordering on evil. Their behaviour towards their peers is absolutely astonishing, they're extremely self-centered and greedy, and seem to be under the belief that they're the best thing since sliced bread. Apparently, some of these housemates are now being racist? I haven't been watching the past couple of days, so I don't know the entire story regarding this.

I know what I've mentioned above (beside the racism) tends to occur on every series of Big Brother, but this year, its extent is so overbearing that I've had to switch off. The only thing more frustrating is that there's very little that can be done about it. Any complaints made this series regarding bullying - in particular, Conor's - seem to have fallen on deaf ears. It angers me that it's more than likely going to be one of these people walking away with the prize money.

Or am I taking this all a bit too seriously? haha

Whats annoying me most is that Im watching clips they post online, then in comparison to the HLs they air ****.

Im sort of used to the behaviour in the house now, and its sort of calming to know an Outsider will go on to win definitely, or Sara.

The editing team is doing a horrific job this year. They don't know how to balance things. We've seen so many great, funny clips online yet they never get shown in the highlights show.

Compared to other seasons, there's no way you can call this over the top. Seasons 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 all had way more divisions and way more bullying. Rachel Rice was bullied, Freddie was bullied. No one in this house has really been bullied, because bullied means intimidated, and no one has been truly intimidated this year.

And i call BS that you arn't gonna keep watching. The fact that you seem to feel so passionate about this tells me there's no way yur turning off now. so i call BS.

What bullying ?

There are various examples, but one would be Caroline selecting someone she dislikes and convincing everyone else to do the same. Another would be Conor is constantly decrying Deana for no apparent reason, and even refusing to resolve their differences when she offered to.

In regards to your comment about me throwing in "the R word for good measure", was it true that housemates were mocking Deana in an Indian accent despite it being evident she doesn't speak with one? As I said, I haven't been watching it, so I don't know if this is really the case or not.

So over seeing posts like this. This is what is ruining BB. It's a gameshow!!. BB is being ruined by the pc brigade complaining about every little thing. I am sick of seeing the bully word being banded about every day. The events tonight were quite frankly astounding and by no means racist. If BB start giving out warnings for that then they are setting themselves up for the shows downfall.

It's socialisation and normailisation skills room 101. Someone can be enquisitive about another's culture, but by other's it's deemed as racist. Mocking a class, regardless of his/her colour/age/religion etc is demining. I think sometimes genuine interest or a lack of understanding/education is put down to an 'cist' of some sorts. People need to stop being so paranoid.

Life is very diverse and BB shows this in a magnitude of ways....thats why its called Big Brother and thats why most of us watch it....it reflects life in so many ways...it happens all around us every day.

We dont watch it to see everyone be nicey nicey to each other but we watch people react and deal with it. These housemates put themselves in the house as experimental mice.... dont feel too sorry for them....but simply support the good!!

If you watched yesterday's highlights you'd know that Caroline received a final formal warning about that, and tbf she really seems to be sorry about it.
But dont worry an outsider will win for sure.

You are so right. They go through vigorous audition processes and psychiatric tests. They are often actors actresses, models etc already represented by agents. They know exactly what they are getting themselves into and in a lot of circumstances have a gameplan and know what people want to watch. With no live feed the show is now more of a soap opera with the producers making characters that they can edit any way that want and show only what they want. People tend to forget that BB is a gameshow it's not real life. Circumstances and events are set up to cause conflict because at the end of the day the producers want entertainment. They wouldn't get much footage if everybody was sat around talking politely about the weather.

Finding it hard to watch as well and cannot even bring myself to say I have any particular favourite anymore as the good guys have all been booted out. Also, had to switch off Bit on the Side because of that really irritating Rat thing. Who thought it a good idea to put it on instead of someone with an opinion who doesn't keep interupting others when they speak?

To be fair I don't think Scott said anything racist. But Ashleighs comment "Do you know what, they used to do that in my dad’s takeaway, my dad owned and Indian takeaway and they used to eat everything with their hands?” is a little racist. It implies that all Indian people eat with their hands.

But then again I haven't watched it yet, just read an article about it:

Oh actually reading it back Scott saying "I think it's the culture" kind of implies that its normal for Indian people to eat with their hands.

Is it racist to say that it's normal in japanese culture to eat with sticks?

I'll still watch, but I don't really think BB is an accurate representation of life anymore. The removal of LF so they can cut and edit bits they don't want to show us, the way the housemates are hand picked to cause whatever the producers have in mind. It's completely controlled and isn't much of an experiment at all anymore.

Having said that it's still far better than watching a soap opera as they can't completely control everything.

If they went and picked 16 people at random from the street, and put them in a house, then it would be a much more interesting and better program imo.

The R word mentioned by dizzy is an invented scenario to pacify the PC brigade. Its racist to say a Japanese person eats with sticks, WTF, are you people really taking yourselves seriously. The biggest crime in there is how people like Deana is using the R thing and the bully thing to gain her an advantage and con the vast majority of the voters into helping her get even more dosh to spend on servants and books on how to hate men and manipulate the public into making her a megastar by being a bitch.
