Yeah i did, I think his letter softened him up a bit. He'll probably still nominate her this week though

I think he did genuinly feel sorry for her, still think he's a horrible person though and it won't change his nasty personality.

This isn't going to be popular but when Conor was called in over his nasty remarks, he showed he was utterly remorseful with what he had said and looked embarrased. Unfortunatley he is a hot bloodied Irish man and he's been blunt with her since then but she's given as good as she has got. However, I found him sincere tonight. Basic human compassion and he showed it with everyone else. He's not the monster people are making him out to be. I just wish he'd have gone up to Deana (perhaps he did and it wasn't shown) to tell her he felt sorry she'd not got her letter with everyone else.

knew this letter thing was bad news

he just see's his letter as a vaildation of his actions and that all is ok out side those doors. and he has a chance to win. your a winner it said. so straight away thinks i should be nice about deana as that was a shame. he said that cause of his letter/family as he thought what would they think and how would he feel.

You guys may disagree, but I find Conor a much kinder/genuine person than Becky. Conor is one stubborn guy and his dislike for Deana makes very little sense, but I think if you compare Conor and Becky, you would find Becky more vicious than Conor.

I would pick Conor over Becky any day - if Conor dislikes me, I'll know that. No bones about it. Becky is the kind of person to take advantage of people, trash them behind their backs, go nuts for no reason, etc. She's just an insecure person and takes in out on people in a vicious way.

The guys a national moron of his OWN doing.

I find it's a case of people chomping at the same old worn bit. People on here say they are bored of Deana being called dull, sly, two faced but this topic seems endless.

I just wish some could remove the biased blinkers.

I'm sure there have been firm favourites then at the last hurdle to trip themselves up by saying something stupid and losing favour with the public. Alliances can and do change.

Yes totally I believe it was genuine, also to be fair as to her, it would have been very hard for anyone 'not' to feel sorry for her in that situation.

No reason why he would suddenly feign sympathy now for someone who he's made it clear throughout this whole series that he can't stand, he's not the psychopathic women beating monster that he's made out to be

A small glimmer, brought on by the emotion of his own letter. Still massive progress as far as Conor goes.

Probably won't last but it was good to see a crack in his wall of hatred.

Oh my god you're starting to type like Chuff
And what do you mean define his actions? He clearly said he will stick an epilator up her 'minge' and knock her out if she pranked him.
Being a woman how you can you just brush that off?

23-07-2012, 02:11 AM
I've only seen two situations where Conor was 'horrible'. His comments about the epilater and the time he flew into Deana when they ended up washing the clothes together. Aside from that he just doesn't like her for whatever reason, so yeah he's going to keep putting her up. She'll keep putting him up. I think he definitely felt bad. Maybe seeing everyone upset during their letters clued him in that they are real people not just 24/7 game players.

You have my sympathies Beverley. No one should be made go through such an ordeal. I would not wish it on my worst enemy or most hated housemate.

I know Conor showed regret after he was called to the diary room. Still not sure whether it was over wishing such a thing on someone or messing up his chances of winning.

It really was a very stupid thing for him to get worked up over Deana failing her peice of the task when it was won overall. He should have been raging at BB for giving him a **** prize!!

Life gave me lessions so I could teach others............... I'll stand by that until the day I die. I know you hate Conor for what he said ut trust me, he was disguststed with himself.

It was so so so so stupid of him to say that and now you all know, I wasn't a fan at all with regard to what he said, but in all I think deep down he's a good lad.

it isn't easy to come from where I have, but one thing I will always be is honest.

Very good points,it always amazes me that Conor is hammered, although rightly for the main offensive comment, Deana though can lie about people and go behind their backs, not own up to ever doing anything wrong and be hailed a near Saint.

In my view,Conor has his faults and is rather full on as to attitude but Deana has a great many faults too and in different ways can be as offensive as any of the others are.
I would personally feel I could trust Conor over Deana most of the time.

She has also nominated him every week anyway and he knows that is likely the case so why shouldn't he return that favour as to her too.

I think people are making too much of this tbh, yes, he showed he could empathise but that doesn't make the rest of his behaviour towards Deana ok.

I was far more impressed that he even said anything at all, he didn't lose the task after all, he did his and keeping quiet for 4 hours likely would not have been that easy for him to do.

I was less impressed,(from what was shown anyway),that she didn't even acknowledge him saying it though. I know 'sorry' is not a word in her vocabulary she likely recognises at all but a simple thank you for that gesture would have been equally gracious to see from her.

Not keen on him, but agree.....rather have him than those who sat 'egging' him on at 'the rant'.......Arron, Luke S, Ashleigh and Caroline. Add Becky to that mix now.....for turning into the two-faced ... she is today. Shame, as someone famous once said....."she coulda been a contender":spin:

Think he did actually feel sorry for her, it'd take a cold person not to feel sorry for her in that situation, when you're already emotional due to hearing from your own family. My opinion hasn't changed though, he's still a horrible person, and has been horrible to my fave (Deana) all series, so still want him out.

I had to take some time out from the forums to regroup, I found the requoting of the epulator quite frustating, hence my outburst (I am utterly sorry to anyone who read my post that have experienced what I have, we are all at our own level).

I think he was genuine.

That's why I posted what I did and was blunt (sorry but had to), he was just being immature, and there's plenty in there guilty of that.

Look im sorry about what happened to you but threatening to stick an Epilator up Deana's minge and then laughed at it afterwards means that he likes the idea but doesn't have the guts to go through with it himself.

And also he has threatened both Benedict and Scott in the house so it's not like it was a one off outburst.

Ok, we have to look at this objectively, besides what I have experienced, I get that, ok, here we go:

I've met Irish guy's like Conor and also women (was very good friends) with ppl like Deana.

The Irish will put it to you in such a way you will recoil in horror, they are blunt,up front and don't pull any punches. Then in the next minute they will have your back thru thick and thin.

I also have been blessed with a very good friend, idential like Deana. We've been out drinking a few times and she's been met with (in her own lauguage) "look at her, out drinking with white trash and looking like a tramp", she replied (fluently in the same language) "I understood every word, you make me sick and your values are pre-historic".

What my Asian friend told me was that her OWN mother would make statements such as "I'll sew your fanny up so that sex hurts", "You make our family ashamed", "I'll punch your vagina", I was so shocked but apparently according to my very good friend of Deana standing, this is current and accepted. Believe me, Conor's rant's were nothing compared to what their own parents will and do tell them!

Conor's remarks HAVE to be answered but from my knowledge first hand, ALOT of you are far, VERY far off the mark.

The guys that raped me were arrested and charged.

One was married, a succesful archietect, another living with his gf and a self-employed builder.

I have many Irish friends and morally they aren't any different to anyone from anywhere else. If you're a decent person you're a decent person, regardless of your nationality!
None of my Irish friends or any other Irish people i have known through the years would ever talk about a woman in the way Conor did and would be disgusted by anyone, Irish or otherwise, that did.

And to try and say that because 'some' Indian people (certainly not Deana's mother judging by what we've seen of her) have views and beliefs that belong in the dark ages that Conor's vile rant somehow pale's into insignificance in comparison to 'their' parent's (i presume you were referring to the parents of Indian children when you used this generalization ?) current and 'accepted' (who exactly 'accepts' such behaviour other than those behaving in such a way ?) attitudes and behaviour is ridiculous!

Yes, some people are exaggerating the intent behind Conor's remarks but equally nobody should be down-playing the disgusting nature of what he did say which is undeniable!
