I think that's Deana for you, after all she turned the tears on in the toilet and was close to tears in the diary room too when she didn't get it, then after getting it she said she wasn't bothered about it and then went on to say she goes to India for 6 months at a time anyway so wasn't bothered as to getting it as she is used to being away.
A great attitude that in my opinion.

She wanted everyone to think she wanted it for the victim vote and when they gave her it early, she just decided it was done and its hey ho lets see whats next. She knows she is safe this week so she will cool down a bit and safe the dramatics for next week.

No I am just saying that in the bedroom she told Ashleigh that she didnt know why she got so upset....'it was just a letter from my mum'...or similar words. Ijust found that a little extrodinary considering Ashleighs guilt and want to put it right (even though I am no Ashleigh fan).... Dont get so defensive it was an observation that seemed to be a strange reaction after she had shown the heartbreak of not getting her letter....it was almost a little ungrateful.

You should change the record....stop being obstinatly defensive and try and give a sensible account of her actions or dont bother. I am just trying to discuss what I thought was odd behaviour after her being obviously upset yesterday at being the only one to not hear from her family.

People should stop being 'obstinatly' at poking conspiracies Deana's way and criticising everything she does.
Also I always give good accounts ty, but lately the threads have gotten boring so its just more fun to joke along with what they have to say :D

I would be over the moon to get a letter from Mum, I would never say it was 'just' a letter from my Mother, shows a selfish piece of work for sure and not a very respectful one either.

Initially she was very upset, she cried thought about it, talked about it and and felt better. Not sure whats wrong with that..
There was no amature dramatics, stomping or wringing of hands.
She is a private person who does not wear her heart on her sleeve, its not obligatory to dissolve into tears at everything.
Unlike most she is very aware of how she acts in the house, which in the main is because se does not want to disrespect her mother.

Very ungrateful, in my view, I am no fan of Deana that is true but for me it was her selfishness that came through most.
Getting the letter though, removed at a stroke the ability to remain the sidelined one as to the letters from home, I am just glad BB nipped that in the bud quickly and she got the letter so soon rather than days or a week later like someone had to wait for theirs last year.
As you say, words like it was just a letter from my Mum really was extraordinary. I would never say oh it's just a letter from my Mum to anyone ,even if she wrote to me every week.
I would actually be eagerly looking forward to it and looking for it too if I knew it was coming.

Deana seems pragmatic (does not mean cold/fake/mean) and quite admirably has the ability to look back at her emotional responses, analyse them in context and learn from them. If she's getting that upset about a letter, is that comparable to a reaction to illness, work/financial stressors, or bereavements in the outside world? Probably not. So she rationalises through her experiences and lays it to rest with her mantra "don't be silly!". Brilliant.
People like Ashleigh, Caroline and Becky, however, have the introspection of plankton yet Deana is questioned. Adam and Luke A are still my favourites but if Deana won, I'd be chuffed for her.

Her letter did seem less emotianal than the others. Wonder why
Because they are normal as opposed to the rest who were overly emotional and OTT
Deana has said before that when she's down her mother tells her to lift herself up but there are never kisses and cuddles. Perhaps Deana is not used to showing emotion publicly and perhaps doesn't want other HMs to see her vunerable side. We all deal with things in our own way. She had her private cry in the toilet and it was probably partly as she had been left out. By the time the letter came she had released her emotions and I think they were all expecting it to be her letter from home so it was no surprise.

Where did she not cry, she was appearing to do nothing else in the toilets for the cameras, she was even sniffling in the diary room. She did cry or made out she did at any rate.
She wasn't wiping make up off her face with tissue, she had already done that for the task ages before.

Well at least I would know exactly where I stood with Conor, unlike with Deana where I wouldn't have a clue.
The respect I was on about was for her Mother, I said I would never say to anyone, ''it's just a letter from my Mum''.
A letter form my Mum,my family means loads to me it would never be a throway, just a letter from her, thing like Deana's dismissal of it.
I actually like Conor for his entertainment value, to me anyway Deana has little of that,I actually also have very wide perceptions in reality so kindly don't insult me,thank you very much, just because I dare to say something against Deana.
Keep your opinions about me me to yourself please, hammer the housemates not me personally, I don't do that and don't exepct it done to me either.
I also however think my credibity stands pretty good overall and I don't have to resort to or would resort to personal insults to other members either.

Yep, you'd be standing in A & E with Conor. If standing at all. or you could be in the visiting room of your local prison. or lying cold on a mortuary slab because you cooked him the wrong meal on a Wednesday. Much better to know where you stand than have to occasionally reassure someone who is admittedly insecure that you have their interests at heart.

It's very clear then that you do not read my posts because I have said plenty as to Conor all series all over the BB section of the forum.
As in fact, in addition to Deana,I have many other housemates, Caroline, Becky, Scott, Arron, Lydia, Chris, Benedict,Lauren,Adam, Luke A just to name a few I have commented on with regularity both when and even after some of them were in the house too.
Anyway, I will talk about which housemates whenever and whoever I please, it is a forum but sorry you are wrong again and since it is clear my views as to Conor are known on here,it shows I clearly do speak about him and often too.

You must be joking! The "man" laughed whilst talking about shoving an epilator up the vagina of a woman that had angered him, and the spoke of how he would punch her in the face and shout at her to get off the mat. And you are asking me to provide you with evidence of any likely criminal activity in the future?!!
Here's a website to provide you with a clue of what his actions and words represent. If you have no issue with what he said, state this openly and declare your allegiance in this sense. But you cannot, nope that is not my place to say what you cannot do. I do not feel it is right that you should minimise the impact or significance of what he said.

You can slate housemates as much as you want. My only issue is the insensitivity of applauding someone who threatened sexual assault. I wait with baited breath for responses such as "she was asking for it", "she made him say it", and "apart from that, he's lovely." I'd dislike Conor if he had said that to my worst female enemy.

Hi kazanne, I know it is quite ridiculous but humerous too.
I had some reservations as to Adam but he is really an okay guy from what I have seen recently.
I have also tried to like Deana, I did feel for her the first night when she had to nominate 3 people for instance and she hasn't been totally rotten all the time since.
There are times I have warmed to her but I am not going to say she is Miss wonderful when all I have really seen is her backstabbing, lying and plotting in the main.
To make the point again too, to say about a letter you have cried for not getting, plus it being from your own Mother etc too, that it was just a letter from her Mum and then dismiss it as irrelevant just shows ignorance to me.
Deana may well be pretty and attractive on the outside but in my opinion she also shows,to me at any rate, beauty likely is really only skin deep sometimes.

Housemates are fair game that is totally correct,I agree with you but insinuating they are likely criminals outside the house with no proof, written word or examples ,I see that at the very least a step just a bit too extreme and offensive.

My reference to A & E and prison were in the context of the threatened assault, which IS a criminal offence. As this is a fact, it can neither be extreme nor offensive. What Conor threatened was extreme and offensive. I would appreciate your pointing out how my abhorrence at threats of sexual assault have offended you.
