Burns turns up late, in kimono

Former pop star Pete Burns angered a judge by turning up late to deny threatening to kill his ex-lover.
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate and frontman of Eighties chart toppers Dead or Alive was arrested in April after a complaint was made by former boyfriend Jason Peters.
Burns, 46, allegedly waged a cmonth-long harassment campaign against Mr Peters.
At Southwark Crown Court today the singer, wearing a flamboyant kimono and huge platform shoes, denied one count of harassment likely to cause Jason Peters to fear that violence would be used against him between 1 April and 22 April this year. A trial is set to start in September.
Burns incurred the wrath of Judge James Wadsworth by turning up late for the short hearing.
When he strolled into the dock half an hour after it was due to begin the judge put his case to the back of the list.
Burns was remanded in custody following his arrest but was granted bail last week.
