What time does the Opening Ceremony start?

I heard a few months back it was meant to start at 20:12 (8:12pm) which I thought was quite cool, but the TV guides seem to have it down as 9pm.

A bit confusing.

The Countdown is 7-9 and the actual ceremony is 9pm until 12am.

Just got back from the Technical Rehearsal for the Olympics Opening Ceremony, and all I can say is OMG WOW! It was mindblowingly, absolutely magnificent! I'll be glued to the telly on Friday to watch it all again - Don't Miss It!

Sure did with 70,000 people all trying to leave at the same time! Took me 45 minutes just to get to the DLR, then had to wait ages to get on one. Then wait ages at Lewisham for a night bus home!
