She meant he was alive and still walking about when he was 110 and she could have spoken to him had she learned the language. Why the hell would she lie one minute and 2 minutes later say he was dead, that doesn't make any sense Chuff.

Also, the whole point of her story was she regrets not learning the language so she could have spoken to him, if he was still alive she could still do that.......

"i would have gotten more film roles... and i would have been able to speak to my great, great, great granddad that's still alive in India"
"he died last month"
Assuming her family was strict and had arranged marriages and children young she could have had a great, great, great granddad just pass recently. But she definitely did say he was live and then he died last month at the same time. So either she's lying or it's just the fact he'd have died either just before she entered the house or shortly after she had been in the house. Either of which you'd think she'd have talked about previously. Sounds like a big fat lie to me.

Why? maybe they weren't close, alot of people aren't even close to their grand parents (me included for one side of the family) not to mind great great or whatever it was. They obviously didn't even live in the same country and didn't speak the same language so you would assume that they were close enough for her to be grieving for and talking to people about him?

It would probably be best if it were in no particular order so it doesn't spoil the final
Because she mentioned not being able to talk to him as part of her biggest regret?
That doesn't mean they were close though, maybe she just thinks it would have been good to talk to her longest living relative?

I don't see chuff being obsessed at all. He made a really good point with this thread. As a Deana fan i'm interested to find out more about this.
If last month her great, great, great, granddad past it seems really weird she NEVER brought it up to anyone until now. You'd think she'd have mentioned something to Adam or Luke A at some point when they are sitting around 24/7. Yet she brings it up at the dinner in front of everyone and goes into details about him, mentioned not being able to talk to him in her language is part of her biggest regret. Oh and he just pasted last month, a week before I ended the house?
Then again, it may just be the same situation as Scott is in. If Scott was at the dinner table and mentioned his sister's death after all this time and no one had known by now. He maybe have mentioned her in the present tense and then said she had passed, considering he hasn't seen her since he's been in the house and might be disoriented a bit on matters outside.

I still don't see it as being that unusual tbh, if a relative of mine that I wasn't close to (and how could she be if she couldn't even speak to him) died, I doubt I'd bring it up in conversation with people that I didn't know that well, unless it fitted in to a topic we were already discussing

Straw grasping..... again.
She was talking past tense obviously. But while she was describing him she was talking in the present tense (as in when she was there she couldn't communicate well with him due to the langauage barrier, which is a big regret of hers). We all do it especially when talking about something like this.
She's no longer in India, in case you hadn't noticed she's back in the UK and currently stuck in the BB house. So therefore she clearly meant past tense.

You're relative dies within a few days of you going into the Big Brother house where you spend 24/7 sitting around with nothing to do except talk to the other housemates and you never mention him until 7 weeks later in a conversation where not being able to speak to him in her foreign tongue is part of her biggest regret?

The experience of death is different for everyone. No one can judge anyone on how they react or deal with a death.

Huh?
Scott was told about a death not longer after he entered the house but I still don't know who it was and they haven't shown any footage of him talking about it either.
So is he a selfish and mean person as well then or does it only count when it's Deana?
She mentioned him as she was specifically asked the question: "Do you have any regrets?" and that was what she mentioned. Had she been asked the question 24/48/72 or 2 weeks of entering the house she may have mentioned it then or may have said something completely different.
I can't believe people are actually bringing this up as such a bad thing!
