Today's Task: 'Standing on the Shoulders of Prizes'

An endurance task set in the garden in which the housemates must stand on present boxes for the longest amount of time, in order to win the prize inside.

One housemate will be called to the diary room. Once they are in the diary room Big Brother will inform them that by coming to the diary room they have won the power to allocate prizes to each of their housemates. They will put the picture of each housemate on a board next to the prize they want them to win. They are not allowed to speak of this diary room to the rest of the house.

Later today…

Today housemates will play Standing on the Shoulders of Prizes. Housemates must battle it out in a test of endurance to try and win very special prizes.

Big Brother has delivered nine presents which have been placed in the garden. Each of these presents have been labelled with housemates' names and each present contains a different prize.

All housemates have to do is stand on the presents to win the prizes inside. However, only the housemate that manages to stand on their present the longest will actually get to win the prize inside.

The housemates will not know which prize is in their box, but the prizes that are up for grabs will be on a big board in the garden.

The majority of these prizes are luxury gifts that will be delivered to their homes if won.

When housemates can stand it no longer, they must say their name followed by ‘is no longer present’. They can then open their present to see what they could have won. They must then move their gift to the ‘LOST’ section on the prize board in the garden.

The prizes up for grabs are:

Bless our housemates, there's something about the sight of them standing in a semi-circle on separate boxes to make you feel a surge of affection. There's no law to make them stay there, only a desire to fulfil a very silly task to the best of their abilities. Of course, there's the extra incentive of anything from a holiday for two to a toilet brush but, still... Look at them, just look at them. Then ask yourself how long you would be willing to stand on a box for...

Hitting the floor first was Becky, who threw away the opportunity to beef up her bank balance with a cheeky £1000 - not that she seemed to mind that much. Becky was soon followed by Sara and Scott, who gave up a mountain bike and flying lessons respectively, and were similarly unfazed by the loss of their prize.

Sitting in the living room, the drop-outs berated the other housemates for their determination to win...

"I find competitive behaviour embarrassing," Scott lambasted, to which the other two agreed. Hey guys, where’s your Olympic spirit? We, for one, applaud their steely determination.

Next to drop was Ashleigh, who, on dismounting from her box, found out that she had been standing on a toilet brush - in the metaphorical sense of course. We're presuming Adam's choice of prize for the Essex girl may have something to do with her jibes about his toilet habits - an ironic comeuppance you may agree. As you'd imagine, Ashleigh was certainly happy to have jumped when she did.

The remaining five vowed to fight to the end and have even resorted to tactical mind games to break down each other's fighting spirit.

"You may as well give up if you’re not fussed about the prizes," Adam goaded to both Conor and Luke A.

"I'm not going to give up," Luke S boasted.

However, Conor soon relented.

At present, the remaining four are alll looking pretty strong, but who do you think will see it through to the end?
