It's now been officially confirmed on Big Brother's Bit On The Side that the housemates' friends and family will be nominating on behalf of them. Are you happy about this?

If I had faith in Sara/Scott's representative nominating insiders, which I'm 99% sure they won't, I might be k.
But I just know the result will likely be Deana/Luke A/Adam
It all depends on how Sara/Scott play it, as I'm confident that the outsider's will all go for the same... but will be outnumbered by Lushleigh/Becky/Conor's reps and probably Scott/Sara's as well.

No, it's just a pointless attempt at creating drama + any outside influence pisses me off.

I think it's brilliant. Got back from London this afternoon after spending the weekend with all the friends and families who are all very nice. Also had a few drinks with Lauren and shivonne who are also very nice. Just to confirm, shiv is crackers, conners girlfriend is brilliant, Sara's mum is awesome and Scott's mum and sis are the nicest people

F n F know who favs are so will vote tactfully
Eg Beckys mum may hate Conor and how he treays her like a performing seal but knows Luke A and Deana are favs to win.

I think its absolutley pathetic and unimaginative that the producers repeat the same nominations "Twist" twice in less than 12 months.

No, I detested it last year and hate the idea even more this year, however they said on bbbots that the idea was welcomed by those on twitter or whatever.
I find that hard to believe.
Awful idea and a wrong one too.

29-07-2012, 10:07 PM
No, it was a crap twist last year too, it's old now.
And Conor and Luke S families shouldn't be allowed to nominate for them as they broke BB rules over discussing noms.
No. Hated it last year too
This.

No. It was sh!t last year and it'll be sh!t this year.
I don't care about what the family thinks. Especially if they are as odious as the housemate they are nominating for. Conor's, Becky's, Ashtrays :yuk:
The sweaty box was lying when they said the twist is popular on Twitter.

I think it's a ridiculous idea, just when the house has an interesting balance between the two sides they throw this rubbish idea in the mix.
Kazanne
29-07-2012, 10:17 PM
no because if the parents who vote have spawned such vile kids, they will obviously be vile themselves and just vote the competition out which will be any of the outsiders,as they know one of them would win otherwise,so it's likely the nicest HMs will be up,Luke ,adam, deana, sara .

I wonder if any of the friends and family have met up with each other (in the eviction shows for example) and swapped numbers in the past.... they could quite possibly ring each other now and collude a combined strategy for their votes.

Why on earth would we be speculating , we're only interested in the housemates.
Vicky.
29-07-2012, 10:46 PM
Another thing I dont like about the families nominating...is it opens them up for criticism on the forums...because they are part of the show then. And some FMs cant handle that.
I remember last year we had a terrible time trying to sort it all out D:

I voted yes, it will make a change.
The voting in the house is so predictable. Wonder if any of the friends and family have a gameplan:joker:

Not really, it was dull last year and it'll more than likely be the same this year. Mind you though, I'm the opposite in that if it means it'll save the insiders who let's be honest are keeping the show afloat, then maybe it'll be a good thing.
The only plus side will be if it creates tensions i.e. if Ashleigh's family nominate Luke S and reveal all about that task he had, stuff like that...

I wonder if Deanas fam and friends will be able to cite Conors epilator rape and punch rant as a reason.
joeysteele
29-07-2012, 11:39 PM
I would guess they wouldn't be able to since really none of the housemates have been able to cite that for a reason either.
However that is exactly why no one who has been watching the show should be involved with the nominations process. No matter the rights and wrongs as to what people have done in the house.
Vicky.

Pretty sure Conor will be up with Deana and Ashleigh - if this happens and it's a double - next weekend will be one to remember

Sara's & Scott's family vote will be the most important tomorrow.
AshesonMars
30-07-2012, 02:06 AM
I think it's obvious who the HMs would have nominated, so this might be interesting. I agree with Colbert-Bump in that Scott & Sarah's family vote will be the most important.
I know it's the FaFs of the remaining HMs in the house who will be nominating, but I would laugh if it turned out be the FaFs of the evicted housemates.

I liked it last year since Faye's mother nominated Aaron. Whether I like it this year will definitely depend on who's nominated.

That's exactly what happened last year!
The anti-Aaron parents/friends all used almost exactly the same wording when voting. It was so obvious that Jay's mother had rallied the sheep!
No doubt Conor's mother & girlfriend are on the phone to the mainland as we speak scheming and plotting.

Think it's been done and shouldn't have been repeated. The house was really divided and this weeks nominations were about to force Scott & Sara to choose a side. With the FnF twist Scott/Sara's families can vote strategically chosing to side with the insiders to assure their kids win in the long run.

People moan if they do and moan if they dont so why not.
The average BB fan these days is shallow enough to decide if they like it or not based on the result it throws up which is a shame.

I will find it interesting to watch, but they definitely should've done something original, so not happy with it.

Unfortunately, it came out at the very end of BOTS tonight that Luke S has told Ashleigh about the Bachelor thing, though they did say he lied about some of it, still. That kills that for a bombshell. Between that and what they'll probably edit out, I don't think there will be anything devastating revealed, unless Becky's family lets her know how much Conor really hates her.
joeysteele
30-07-2012, 06:57 AM
I think if they are watching the series, Becky's family will more likely have all guns blazing for Luke A for his rcomments as to Becky's weight, not Conor. Conor actually said Becky was good looking this week and he likes very few in the house really anyway.
I still hate this idea though, (as someone said above, with a 4 to 3 split in the house as to groupings),it would have been far more fascinating to see how Scott and Sara nominated this week, Sara must think she has more of a chance now after friday but she will need to have Deana or Luke A or Adam to go to keep that chance likely,it would also have been interesting to see how Scott nominated too this week with Caroline gone and him being the only housemate never to have been up for eviction now.
There was enough possible drama to see this week anyway, without this daft and already failed twist to nominations as to last years farce.

The parents/friends actually spoke directly to the housemates while they were all gathered in the living room last year though didn't they. It wasn't pre-recorded.
Whether they do it the same this year though remains to be seen.
It was a terrible idea last year and doesn't seem like any better of an idea a year later!
Let's just hope it ends up working out OK for the good people in there. It all really hinges on Sara and Scott's F/F's votes.
Let's pray they choose wisely or it could be an awful result and another triumph for evil over good. :(
Angus
30-07-2012, 07:46 AM
Everyone is assuming that the friends and family will vote the same way as the HMs they're representing would have. Let's hope that sufficient of the F&F are as disgusted by Conor, Ashleigh, Luke S, and Becky as the rest of the viewers. So long as two of those 4 is up against any outsider they will go this week. Sara's F&F will have heard how the insiders were talking about her and will hopefully vote against them. I should imagine Scott's family are likewise disgusted by the likes of Ashleigh and Conor and would seek to distance him from them.

That won't happen. BOTS spoke to Ashtrays brother straight after the agent episode and he was fine with it.
The family will go along with the sham relationship. It's about money afterall.

At first I hated the idea, but then I was thinking that Sara's family will probably vote Luke S and Connor if they saw their nom chat this week and realize they are gunning for her. I also think Scott's family will nominate Luke S and Deana's family as well as Luke A's... so it could be good to get rid of him finally.

Why make such an issue of discussing noms then hand them over to people they have no control over?
As has been said the fam/friends could have colluded to block vote?

This is what Conor & Co have done every week which is why many of the better HMs have gone, and we've been left with the sorry group of Insiders. Hope Scott and Sara's F&Fs vote with the outsiders.

No - it sucked last year and it will suck even more this year. It ruined the show last year and we ended up having someone walk out and the whole thing flopped and then someone else (who shouldn't have been up) got evicted instead! Why if it didn't work last year do they retry it again this year???
If Becky's family have been watching and vote strategically and tactfully (or tactile as Conor says) had have their daughter's back then they will definitely vote for Conor as he is using her and as Caroline said; hates her just as much as he hates Deana only he needs her. They won't though as they think taking Conor through to possible final stage will help Becky to win the series and the money. Which would be an epic fail as even though I can't stand Conor, I would definitely vote for Thugly Conor to win over vile Becky anyday! Yet, as much as I can't stand Becky, I would vote her to win over Luke S or *******igh.
I have more faith in Sara's family actually voting for Conor because he also talks nothing but **** behind her back as well and I think they would vote for the love of their daughter and not for the love of their daughter winning BB and the money.

Might have made it more interesting if they had made it vote to save. Could have led to tactical voting to avoid there family member coming up against a favourite. eg Conors girlfriend voting for Luke A or Adam.
