As you know, due to technical reasons we’ve been unable to open Facebook voting this week. We are investigating the problem and will report back asap. In the event that we’re unable to reopen Facebook voting for the rest of this Big Brother series, we’ll refund unused BB Votes. Phone voting is open

Im betting it suddenly works again if Conor is up for eviction, or on final night though :p

The technical reason being Deana and Luke A topping the vote then? :idc:

As if it'd take them over a week to have this fixed.

Its all greasy Ian's fault from the sweaty box
So annoyed its down D: this could affect Deana badly

Why should any housemate have significantly more facebook votes than phone votes if they cost the same? And if that was the case they would just be losing money by doing this anyway

Yes because closing one of there main revenue streams to sway the vote is something they would really do isnt it :nono:
BB fans are a strange breed with their conspiracy theorys.

The only flaws with that theory are 1. Conor isn't from the ROI and 2. He's not up for eviction :pipe:

They have just plotted it in advance, I'm sure the Irish are all voting for Conor

Anyway, my conor comment in the OP was just a bit of a joke. In all seriousness I just dont understand how they havent managed to fix this yet. Everything else on FB is working just fine...why would this one thing knack up enough to not be able to be fixed 5 days later

C5 producers in cock-up shocker

It'd probably be more of an issue if the pricing was as low as it was for CBB8/9/BB12 but some silly wankers thought it'd be funny to have a price increase for this series on Facebook.

Sensible wankers if you ask me. The price of fb voting compared to phoning last year rendered phone votes absolutely pointless :pipe:

Umm yes I get it thanks, but a lot in NI/ROI will still consider those across the border their countrymen

Anyway I was quite clearly joking :idc:

It sounds to me like they've just shut the facebook voting down for some reason known only to themselves. There's no way that they wouldn't be able to fix it. They could set u a whole new FB voting system within a day or two if they actually really wanted to! Awful!!!!!!

That 'update' sounds like they're basically saying that there will be no more FB voting this year. Stinks of some sort of manipulation again!!!

Can those in India vote via Facebook?

Vicky.

It is with sincere regret that we have had to permanently suspend the Facebook voting application for Big Brother 2012 from today (Thursday 2nd August) for technical reasons. Please note that viewers will be eligible for a refund for any unused Big Brother votes that they have.

We will email those affected via the email address registered to their Facebook account asap. However, in some cases, security settings may prevent us from contacting those affected. If you have unused BB votes and you are not contacted by us, all you have to do is complete an online refund form which will be available by Tuesday 7th August and follow the instructions to send it back to us.

We will communicate where the form can be found and exactly when it is available on the Channel 5 website and on Facebook. Votes will be refunded at the same rate of purchase i.e. £0.33 each.

I understood that facebook was much cheaper than landline or mobile. So it could affect the outcome.
