Is anyone that gullible to believe these things. How desperate are people to get votes for their favourite. It's quite cringey that people seem to lose touch with reality. Personally I will be glad to see the end of this series. It has been ruined.

So everyone just agreed at the same time to do this? Something is fishy.

Well I rang in for both Luke A & Deana and it was fine.

Urgh though if Becky stays. :bored:

they can't fix it, they would be closed down and lose their broadcasting license

Are you really that trusting? And Rupert Murdoch didn't spy on people for fear of losing his empire... Puleeze, the world is corrupt.

This is Big Brother not the mafia. They don't care who wins and Ofcom has the power to take away Broadcasting Licences and if they have fixed it they will. It wouldn't look good on Northern and Shell; who own the Star and the Express

not that i take big brother that seriously as i live in the real world but in real world cover ups happen and fixes just like the bank fixing just the other day.
bigbrother is a money making program in the real world so dont be so quick to swallow the pill.

Things have been strongly tightened up since the competitions phone in scandals of a few years ago and now more stringent guidelines and rules are in place for any programme reliant in part on the public ringing in.
They could never possibly even think of trying to do any phone rigging whatsoever.

It is likely just attempts by a small few of supporters of a housemate/s to get people to try certain lines but by doing so they will have voted for that person/s too.
I was nearly caught out by a friend on this last night but twigged that he was trying to get me to do that.

Wherever public funds as to voting are concerned,it would be disastrous for any company to allow any rigging to go on.

I think we all can be cynics Yayita, it is good to question things and I can be extremely cynical too as to things, it's just on this one I do really believe they wouldn't dare even risk thinking about doing, never mind actually doing anything like this.

IF this is happening, its not a fix, its a fault.

If for some reason they decided to risk the huge fines involved in phone vote fixing, they simply wouldnt be stupid enough to let the people voting know about it at the time ie. saying a different housemates name. So if people really are having problems (and I actually believe some might be you know, I dont see how so many random people got the problem at the same time, including BBs lauren) it is not on purpose.

I've seen people try it on before saying there is something wrong with the lines to try to get people to vote for their faves, but i've never seen so many people say it, which makes me think there might be something in it. I don't think BB are fixing it though, how blatent would that be. You ring to save sonebody but save someone else, if they were to fix it they'd do it in a different way. Sounds like a fault or something.

If it's a fault it's not BB but the company who supply the lines. BB or Ch 5 may own the phone numbers but they don't own and operate the lines the numbers are on.

It may be a private company or it may be a problem with BT.

Yepp same looks like a genuine issue. Ch5 should be able to correct it because of the number dialled though.. hopefully.

Closing this because If there ever was a problem with the phone lines, it's resolved now.
