Last night in the high lights show when Sara had a bit of break down in the white room and she was speaking to Big Brother on the phone, did anyone else find the conversation strange? To me it seemed like one minute she was freaking out and then all of a sudden she seemed fine and smiling. It feels like the middle of the conversation was cut and they just pasted the start and end together. I wonder did they say ok we'll let you out but you have to do this task with Conor and Luke first and act like you three are deciding which one will leave. And maybe that's why the "special live white room" on BOTS was messed up and that task was no longer live?

Well I for one have never known what Sara is talking about ? What was the "i've got dirty hair! " all about ? all she does is lay in bed - that gets your hair filthy ! her behaviour is pathetic - just like her lack of knowing why she voted for the tory boys , she's shown just how shallow she really is and obviously knows she does not deserve to win.

yes.

Normally the editing is pretty smooth and I don't really notice it, but last night it seemed really amateur to me :joker:

I thought exactly the same Niamh - it was very odd - but talk about pathetic reasons for wanting to leave - what a weed I thought to myself - it's not like they didn't have any water and as for a white face - I'm just not going to go there - but I did notice when it came to her leaving she had her full make up on - so BB must have given in and let her have her make up.

Yep I noticed that too

Yes, i noticed too. It was very odd and somewhat explains the balls up of Wednesdays much publicized shows that turned into a damp squib.

yep. which makes their fake deliberation, hand-wringing and Luke's tears even more ridiculous in hindsight. How much more of their behaviour is staged - I was never convinced by Conor's fake laughter when becky pretended to order a chinese meal. In what real-life situation would that have been so funny? They were probably told to stage that in the Diary Room.

Yes, VERY odd, as you say she went from tears to smiles in a split second

I know they edit all the time, it just seemed really obvious and not flowing there at all

Just a case of bad, lazy editing.

All they needed to do was cut and come back give the time and say "Sara has been talking to Big Brother for the last 10 minutes listing all the reasons why she wants to leave the white room" and it would have appeared alot less suss then last nights edit.

I thought it was fairly obvious that this was the reason for the live task being abandoned on Wednesday night, they didnt legislate for Sara wanting out....better luck in your choice of participants next time, if Luke A, Deana or Adam had gone in none of them would have given up and we would have had a good live task, with maximum outrage as obviously Conor and Luke S would have ganged up on the outsider.

I hate the way Big Brother was speaking to her as well, I know it's mean but I miss the cold, stern, robotic voices. Big Brother shouldn't have a personality except on the odd occasion, I really hate this new 'friendly' kind of approach they've adopted.

Well yeah but the way they mentioned nothing at all about the fact there was now not going to be a live task that night on BOTS and then show us this half arsed edited version of Saras phone call with BB and then keep up the charade by making them "decide" who was leaving.

Very bad editing there.

But yeah I think the original twist was gunna be one was forced to leave, but they couldnt risk forcing her to stay there when she was so upset.

Why not just announce on BOTS that night, Sara has decided to leave the white room so the live task has been cancelled? Big deal?, atleast it would have been reality.

because that would involve actually having a bit of respect for the viewers, rather than just taking the piss

This would have been the prudent route, and nobody would have batted an eyelid as these things happen, and nobody (except maybe BB) expected Sara to last any time at all in the WR. Whey they tried to gloss over it is anybodys guess, but it looks like someone made the wrong choice..

It's them treating us like complete morons is the part that bothered me, completely ignoring the fact that they'd TOLD us there would be lives tasks, then that weird Police Academy 5 s**te and then that piss poor editing :bored:

I thought the whole point of the white room was to mentally challenge the HM's and to make the freak out and question their commitment to the game.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a task/challenge when BB picks who goes in then does the 'nicey nicey we'll let you out in a few moments but just give us a few more minutes of video footage' kind of thing doesn't it?

Yes this call was edited. And I have also noticed that about 23.25 hours a day seems to be edited out of all highlights shows. ; )
