It had stopped so the prize should have been lost and whomever pressed the button should have left with nothing. That would have been an awesome twist.

If there was 60 seconds and 50k surely they would have had 10 seconds once it got to 50k? So it counted down a grand a second?

I think it started at 0 and then went off screen and finally flashed at 50k and then with 10 seconds before they lose out, Conor beat Luke to the button. That's the reason why Luke was counting the seconds out loud while Conor was talking and trying to convince him why he should take the money.

That's the way I saw it but I may be wrong.

Watch it again, There was a voice that started counting down after it reached 50K and the counter stopped......his was poorly executed and wrong IMO.

They even had that case with 50K on it. Its obvious they informed them earlier to wait for the 50K...the way theu pressed the button, the fact that they didnt seem much surprised and the case having 50K...
It would have been a epic fail if they clicked it on 10K and the case was there with 50K loool
