View Full Version : No one this series was really boring.

I mean, when you think about it, pretty much every housemate has been great and has provided some level of entertainment. There haven't been any deadbeats like Steve or JJ or Susie or Tom or Rachel or Ife etc
Lydia, Caroline, Deana, Chris, Arron, Becky, and Lauren were all very big characters.
Benedict, Shievonne, Sara, Luke A, Ashleigh, Conor, Scott, Adam, and Luke S have all provided some level of entertainment in their own right as well.
Even Victoria who was there for 3 days, was great.
Nobody really stands out as a true bore. Even the duller ones like Luke S, Scott, Sara, Adam, etc. have certainly had their moments. And I wouldn't call them dull either, they just weren't as big as the others.

Not at all. I could name more than several entertaining and significant moments for pretty much all of them.

Scott, Luke S and Sara have all been let-downs.
Scott has provided quite a few funny moments and good DR's though and Sara has also provided funny moments like her rant about the queen and several heated confrontations with people. Luke S has probably been the most boring, but I know some people on here think he was entertaining.
Can't think of a single entertaining thing Luke A has done

Perhaps the individual characters have been better than previous years but this season hasn't been fit to lick the boots of some past seasons in my opinion. That's mainly down to the producers and suits who sit behind the scenes deciding what happens though.
In my mind this series has been one big disaster rolling from week to week and it started off with nominations talk being allowed. When the suits realised that actually housemates would discuss and plan nominations a lot they banned it. However they banned it after it was clear the "insiders" were arranging votes but before the rest of the house could do the same.
Excellent decision.
Went from bad to worse from then on. This includes the wild card housemate, not dealing with Conors threatening behaviour, weak punishments for serious rulebreaks, mostly poor tasks, face to face noms (again!) and now the White room fiasco splitting the winners prize pot yet again.

See what I love about BB13 is, every week was like a certain housemate's time to shine.
It was like a new storyline every few days, and that storyline would bring certain housemates to light.
I mean honestly, if you think back to the second week when TiBB use to label Conor as a bore? It's laughable.
People like Sara have even came out of their shell and proven they aren't the typical 'Fit one who makes it to the final and does nothing all Summer'.
Scott started out a dullard, and became brilliant quality.
And again - Victoria, clearly had potential to be a great housemate.
The fact is, this series is one of the best we've ever had. And I'm going to really miss it. And I can't thank the producers enough for picking a cast as good as this.

Insult Fat Becky over her weight.

Scott was a massive bore and it hurts my eyes looking at Ashleigh.
But the rest of the cast entertainment wise have all lived up to standards. I actually thought the first ones evicted showed the most brilliance,
Victoria - fiery, went against the pack, arguments Day 2, saladgate.
Chris - argued with Beckopottimus and destroyed her, took on Luke S, was fearless, funny.
Benedict - the masturbation man, legend in itself, took on and destroyed Carol.
Lydia - Was a trainwreck the first week with famegate, saladgate and various clashes with HMs. Then upped the gameplan and was brilliant in the first 25 days, was a crime that we lost Lyds so early.
Arron - bit of a twat but wound some of them up, was glad he went but would've preferred Conor to go then so he could shine.
Shievonne - she went bat**** on her final week and it was TV gold, should've stayed over dull Conor.
Lauren - Knew she'd be brilliant from the massive girl fallout on Day4/5 where she went against Sara and Ashleigh. Lovely girl, shame she went mid-season.
Carol - walking lunatic/sociopath.
Becky - hated BMIBecks, horrid creature but provided decent entertainment.
Conor - dull dull dull, it hurt having to watch him - although the snatch and grab 50K moment was pretty funny.
The final seven bar Ash and Scott are great HMs and fully deserve to be there.

It's weird to me how people are hyping up this season so much. I stopped watching a couple of weeks ago because literally all the show became was "LOOK AT THESE UNDERDOGS AGAINST ALL THESE NASTY PEOPLE, POOR UNDERDOGS" which quite honestly I found so dire almost immediately. It just feels like a very flat series IMO.

What a silly statement.
Tom BB12? Aden? Jay? Louise? Andrew? Dave? Ife? JJ? Jo? Laura BB11? Mario BB11? Steve? Lisa BB10? Saffia? Kris? Tom BB10? Hira? Siavash? Mohamed? Rachel BB9? Mikey? Stuart? Dale? Maysoon? Carole? David BB8? Kara Louise? Liam? Tracey? Bonnie? Dawn? George? Jennie? Michael BB7? Mikey? Susie? Vanessa BB6? Vanessa BB5? All of BB4? The list goes on and on of people who are more boring than those 3.
They were boring at the beginning, no doubt about it. Adam is still kinda boring. But by Week 4 or so they really started coming out IMO.

I guess different things entertain different people, but I rather liked alex and tom's friendship, it kept the series fun throughout in my opinion. I don't think that arguments are all that makes a series great, but I also don't believe that watching adam and luke a bitching and smoking is good viewing either.

I've loved and really liked certain housemates and disliked plenty:joker:, so it's been my type of Big Brother.:devil: I said it the other day that all have brought something to this series now, but some more than others. Just a shame that a lot of the more interesting outsiders/insiders aren't still there.
I agree with you iRyan, even Sara, for example has provided some level of entertainment :p
That being said, when you say Rachel do you mean Rachel BB9 or Rachel BB11? If you meant Rachel from BB9 then, Rachel > All BB13 Housemates.

Lol, I do mean BB9 Rachel but don't get offended because I do think she was probably the nicest housemate ever. I just don't think she did anything very memorable in the house.

Luke A was very boring at start..
And remained boring. Took him long enough to stand up to people more than 10yr his junior.
Lol, I do mean BB9 Rachel but don't get offended because I do think she was probably the nicest housemate ever. I just don't think she did anything very memorable in the house.
Okay, well here's why I think she was 'entertaining'. Firstly, she was right in the middle of a lot of conflicts in that house. In the beginning with Alexandra, Rachel got right in there and defended Becky with Stephanie. Then, she had her conflict with Rex which kept people entertained for a long time. She also had her own conflict with the rest of the house over her VT and over the accusations that she was 'fake'. In addition, she had the conflicts with Lisa too, because she had Lisa convinced that she was out to flirt with Mario. Finally, we cannot forget her long-lasting (still to this date as shown on BOTS) conflict with Luke. He claimed to have seen a "completely different Rachel" during the audition process and this added a lot of fuel to the fire when creating the divide between the 'cool group' and BBlock9.
Moreover, she was also the only ever female HOH during BB9 - so the only time a female got that commanding role. She handled it in a very different manner to the other HOH's because she chose to rebel against Big Brother in order to not go against her morals and wash the dishes for the hell housemates and in doing so got all the housemates punished. Also during her reign as HOH she created she the whole 'cake controversy' which in turn led her to face eviction in the following week.
Talking about surviving evictions, Rachel did also survive three evictions - against 8 housemates on Week 8, against Stuart on Week 10, and in the double eviction on Week 13. With 22 nominations, she had one of the most out of the BB9 housemates which further shows her impact on the series - Sara nominated her every chance she got, other than when Rachel was HOH.
In addition to that form of entertainment, Rachel was also an extremely kind person, as you stated. This kindness can be deemed as an entertaining factor, because amongst all the drama in Big Brother, it really is entertaining to see a 'good' person. She proved vital to her fellow housemates too by forming very strong bonds - particularly with Kat, Mikey, Darnell and Mo and in doing so further accentuated her role in the house.
We also can't forget the fact that Rachel did win an amazing series of Big Brother which shows that she earned her status in Big Brother, fair and square. She's still talked about on a regular basis on the forums and is definitely NOT a 'boring' housemate. In fact, in my eyes, although you may see this as stretching it, she was the MOST entertaining female BB housemate ever - simply because she always made me smile and got me so into Big Brother that I always got, or still get (:p) riled up when people talk badly about her. Yes, Steve from BB11 was boring, but Rachel was certainly not.
Wow it's getting late in the morning now!

You made good points, and I respect your opinion but I still disagree. Especially the part about you saying she's the most entertaining female BB housemate ever lol. It's kind of sad when you're causing controversy only because people think you're so boring, like Rex said "I'd swap you for scrabble!".
I know you personally know Rachel so it's very understandable why you found her entertaining, because I also think it would be very fun to see someone I know on TV. :)
Rachel actually was my favorite housemate at the beginning of BB9 but then she started to annoy me. Probably a big reason why is because she hung around people like Mikey and Kathreya who I found very annoying.

He had one the biggest growing experiences in BB history. It was wonderful to see him come into his own throughout the course of the series.
I love housemates that go through emotional journeys. Like Nadia, Aisleyne, Glyn, Deana.

It's not going to be a brilliant finale because this year's cast is quite awful. Even the ones I kind of like are not that great housemates.
