View Full Version : Conman - What an appropriate name

To some extent I felt sorry for Luke S last night.
1. I think it had been fairly well set in his head that he would get the money and go since Conman wanted to get to the final.
2. Luke S had been in the bottom 2 on first nomination outing and got lots of boos.
3. I think he had agreed, at least in his own mind, that he would share it with Conman.
Then when Conman grabbed the loot out of the hatch the look on his (Conman's) face basically said he couldn't care less about Luke and he had the money so tough!
I think Luke S would have shared the money with him but was left without anything except a free pass to the final he would not win and another 10 days in purgatory with Ashleigh.
At least, like many posters, Conman will soon see how little £50K is and I feel certain it will be wasted soon. A new car, jewelry for the girl, a holiday. And all gone.
At least viewing figures for BBOTS will be down. I refuse to watch him on any programme.

Watch the clip. Conor told Luke to take the 40 grand, but he never answered him and kept counting. I don't blame Conor for getting fed up and pressing the button himself!

Since they had agreed that Luke would have the money, why would Luke press the button at £40,000 when £50,000 was up for graps? Luke timed it perfectly and hit the button on £50,000 but Conor jumped in because greed took over. Luke called him a 'cheating bastard' after.

Much as I loathe him Conor played the game by playing Luke S. Lucky for Conor he was in competition with someone thicker and greedier than him!

How is that 'fair'? He said he wanted to stay to the final, he cheated Luke or why else did Luke say that Conor was a 'cheating bastard'?

Conor asked Luke S what he wanted to do, but he never got an answer. Luke S wanted the money all for himself. That's call greedy! :joker:

As I said, they'd agreed that Luke would get the money, of course Luke was going to go for the full £50K. Afterwards Luke said that Conor had gone back on 'everything that he'd said'.

Okay, if you are happy with cheating fine, but it's just not true that he won 'fair and square' as you claim. I'm not surprised that Conor lied and cheated, but I think BB were wrong to reward him in any way.

If Luke S wanted the money he should have pressed the button first! Why was he waiting a long time? And counting mississippi?

Just let Luke hit it when he was ready, as they'd clearly agreed! Conor was supposed to be out of it and on his way to the final. Luke was so shocked because Conor had deceived him, hence he was 'a cheating bastard'. Conor half apologised and later Luke said he was angry because he'd been 'played'.

Conor was out of it and Luke was concentrating hard.
Nobody is confused at how that game worked, I'm simply pointing out that Conor is a liar and a cheat who did not win 'fair and square".
The programme is a game show but the unique twist of BB is that it slowly reveals the true characters of the housemates. Before the White Room we knew that Conor was capable of being nasty but after it we learnt that he is a liar and a cheat.

As far as i'm concerned Conor gave Luke every chance to press the button. But he was too greedy to do that and wanted more. He will always regret not pressing the buzzer when he had the chance! :spin:

Fine and you don't think Conor was greedy, just Luke then? And Conor didn't cheat and lie either, and if he did then it's fine because there was £50K at stake? And it's okay to deceive your friends, because money is more important?
This task is brilliant at revealing how people's minds work.

When were they eve friends? Conor was friends with Ash and Arron only. Him and Luke were never close.

Yep, I'm sure. They'll probably cling together for a bit after the show, to remind themselves they were in BB and then move on. Although she seems keen now, she's so bonkers that I guess she'll swiftly go on to the next and the next...
