View Full Version : Why was £50k LOCKED in the White Room?

I find it very odd that they would have the full £50k in there. Did BB KNOW that they would press it as soon as it hit that? What would BB have done if they had pressed it at 20k or 24k or 7k? They couldn't have said "Please collect your winnings" because there was always 50k in there.

This popped up on DS and people saying that the money is actually FAKE. I find that hard to believe. But I'm just getting my head around it why the 50k was in there at it's full amount.

I think the money is fake as it would seem from previous BB's that any money won is paid directly to your bank or by cheque. If the money was real maybe they had access to the hatch, but I think it's fake personally.

Someone was standing on the other side of the hatch. It's the same hatch they put food through every day.

Its never cash, Aaron said as much last year in an interview, the money is paid directly into the winners bank account, the case is just a symbol...be a bit of an anticlimax to walk out with a paying in chit...:joker:

Hang On
the case was in a section that went outside of the Room
so they could change it.

Of course it was an empty case (with a few notes stuck over the see-through part)!
There's no way on earth they'd give someone £50,000 to walk out of the door into a crowd with.

Surely there's not a single person here who actually believes they would put £50k in the case is there.:conf:
That would be beyond naive!

Luke S said the 'money' was stuck to the glass to make it look full.

How is it strange? The case is just meant to be symbolic of what they have won. It had fake money in it. Where's Scooby doo and the gang when you need them?

I do remember them saying about another cash prize that it would be deposited into the winners account right away ( the prize box 1000 I think. )

Its probably just fake notes.

If they had chosen something like 45,667 they probably wouldn't have given them the case.

They stuck the money onto the front of the case, there was nothing in the case. Same went for last year when Aaron won and got to carry the money about.

Do you really think they'd put that amount of money in a case and let Conor/Aaron walk about the stage that is surrounded by chavs? Come on.

I wouldn't be surprised if the money on final night is real, as there were body guards surrounding Aaron last year.

okay here we go, Aaron confirmed last year in an interview that there was no money in the case. I have already said this, and I will continue to say it until the penny drops.

i would agree with posts above that there was no money in it. however, when aaron won i was there and the security around him was huge. with this in mind i did find it odd that connors case had 50k sat there waiting.

Perhaps there was still security around Aaron in BB12 due to the fact that people could still jump him and cause harm, if they believed the money was real.
