What would be the chances of BB still giving the winner the full amount?I just don't see it's right the winner would get the same as Conman...

Why would they do that when they could take that money home themselves?

I agree it wasnt right to give away 50% of the prize money that wins the game fair and square.
They should give them an opportunity to increase it but doubt it will happen.

I doubt they'll put it back up now

It's because they wanted Conman to win, but knew he wouldn't... No doubt he will still grace the pages of dirty Desmond's trashy mags & rags...

Yeah, the white room task should have been £25k max. Bit ridiculous in the scheme of the show really but probably £50k because producer Jamie fancied both the guys in there... He does seem to be the type that lets his emotions affect his decisions.

The card playing victim that is Deana was always the producers favourite.
She always had their preference and things were always geared to her being the best loved h/m and ultimate winner. Especially those nominations within the first few hours of the series.
Alas their favouritism and card playing has eroded her prize money.
But in the end I do think that with her income the tax on the prize money would have been a punishment and not a prize.

they should put it up least to 75k total disgrace. giving that tosspot 50k was ridiculus

I think they should reduce it even further by splitting it 30k to the winner and 20k to runner up. That way conor wins hands down and we can all watch deana and company go into melt down when they mess with the money again.

Yes ... that would make total sense ... reward everyone BUT the actual winner chosen by the public ...

In fact I have an even better idea ... make the winner live in a hole in the ground and pay the production team £200,000 from their lifetime earnings and slaughter their own firstborn ...

That would make even more sense ... the public would LOVE that ... (NOT - I hasten to add ...)

Or they could make Conor give back the money and give it to the real winner ;)

The winner will still make more than Conor, plus they have the kudos of winning, rather than shafting someone and leaving early. I know that the media coverage BB winners get isn't as great as it used to be, but it'll still be more than that potato-faced thug who, this time next year, will have spunked all the cash and will probably never be heard of outside Derry again.

I Really wish it was 20k-25k :/
50k is too much of a chunk

The need to give them a chance to win back the rest of the money.

Fight Conor to the death for it, Gladiator style, except the winner gets a tiger, an Uzi and a spiked epilator.

That is the best case scenario especially the part about Conor never leaving Derry again. Not that I want to wish him on Derry either!

They'll never offer more money.

It's regretful because you can just imagine the caliber of people who will attempt to enter next year (if there is a next year). Now that everyone knows you could go through all that and get to the final and only walk out with a measly 10k or 20k it's not worth decent folk applying.

Hate it when they mess around with the prize fund. It ruins the show and the final becomes such an anti-climax.

They really should do a BB5/BB10 type thing and allow them to win some of it back.

But they won't.

Another thing is, I watched the launch show again the other night - just to see how different it is to now.. and Brian literally says [and he said this in BB12 too]:

'All hoping, to walk out them doors - the winner! And with a prize fund, of 100 Thousand Pounds!!!'

Surely that's like false advertising?

Not even 'like' ... in my eyes it IS false advertising ...

They would use the weasel words 'HOPING to walk out' I imagine ... and say that the fact that the HMs were hoping anything does not mean that they had been promised it ...

Talk about a con, eh ... ? Not a lot of money to compromise their honour over, either, when you think about it ... (what would BB know about honour?)

Lowlifes ...

The winner of BBUK will get 10 times less than the winner of BBUSA, what an embarrassment.

Yes I agree the winning HM should leave with more than the Conman, so I think the best way to address this would be to introduce a task for the final five in which they all play to win the biggest share of a £50K prize. And then the actual winner of BB would walk away with the winners £50K + whatever amount they won in the final task. So no matter who wins they will walk away with more than Conor , so at least justice would be seen to be done.

This could work and would right a few wrongs caused by the White room fiasco.

As a point of interest. You do not pay tax on winings and that includes winning the lottery. You pay tax on earnings. If the winner holds the money long enough to earn interest they will pay tax on that.

As has been said many times before, this splitting the prize fund has been done before on a BB series.
Personally,I think the winner should get more than anyone else even if they do split the fund, however there is no way they will restore or increase any prize fund now.

Alex got 30k last year for faking her way through, so why would it be different this year.

They really should look at BBUSA ,that is a payout to the winner worth having, take note C5 and don't be soooooo cheap.

I think it is all kinds of wrong that the winner gets the same amout as someon who just takes some money and runs. Especially someone who runs who clearly had no chance of winning the game.
