Ash is currently at 1/6 to be evicted on Friday.

So how does that work in terms of betting?
How much would I make or whatever?

Tbh Paddy I wouldn't bother betting on that. You won't make much at all.

if you put £6 on you get £1 back (+ the £6 you bet) so £7

i think

To bet on Scott to go - it simply says '5' :conf:

Does this mean you make a fiver, or what?

5/1 with £1 bet would get you £6 back in total.

if you use oddschecker you should change to decimal because its a lot easier to understand

im not 100% sure but i think with decimal you just multiply the amount of money by the number given in the odds

http://www.oddschecker.com/specials/tv/big-brother/winner

so if you put £10 on deana to win with bet365 you would get £26.20p

actually i think traditional is more easy to understand so idk why i suggested that heh

Just look at the odds as a fraction of what you bet;

If you win you automatically get the amount you put down back plus your winnings which would be 1/6th (same fraction as the odds offered) of the bet you placed.

Examples;

You bet £6 you'd get £6+£1 (£7 total) back.

You bet £10 you'd get £10+£1.66 (£11.66 total) back.

You bet £50 you'd get £50+£8.30 (£58.30 total) back.

Sooo confusing :conf:

Yeah, it took me a while to get the whole 'odds' thing fully worked out in my mind but i've eventually got it.:thumbs:

I think the whole fractional (ie. 1/6 etc.) odds thing is more confusing than if you change the display (on oddschecker etc.) to decimal odds (ie. 1/6 becomes .166).

That way to work out how much you'd win you simply multiply your stake (the amount of cash you've bet) by .166 (or whatever the decimal odds were when you placed the bet), and add the answer to the original amount you bet to get the total amount of cash you will receive in return when you hand your betting slip over the counter.

Simple............right ? ......;)

I want Ash to go. But sometimes evictions can be unpredictable. :tongue:

so clearly the bookies are happy to believe that *******igh and scott are to be tossed out on friday
which means the outsiders will all be in the final - excellent

Scott's 5/1 to get evicted in the double?? Or is it "next evicted"?

Although I think Ash is cert to be out first the second evictee is harder to predict which makes betting on that poor value.

Adam - prob most likeable of nominee but he does least and not really been in HL shows recently wheras.the others have.

Scott - saw more of him last 2 nights than whole series. Was always in DR last night. Witty occasionally but is hamming it up ever since Saras mother nommed him for being dull.

Deana - poor recent HL shows but its not vote to evict so not too damaging. She *is* the show in final week just as Arron kept show afloat last year.
Massive fan base will need to keep voting as shes vulnerable in a double eviction and wont pick up casual viewer votes.

Ash - almost a cert to go but most likely to pick up exHM votes eg Siobhan, Caz, Conor and Becky votes so may cause an upset.
