The Guardian wonders, is team GB as good as Team USA?

read more here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/datablog/2012/aug/08/olympics-2012-team-gb-vs-team-usa?newsfeed=true

what do you guys think?

I think it's weird that They are comparing themselves with the US when China is basically on the same medal count as us, but the guardian only focuses on the US vs GB, and ignored China completely... weird...

what do you guys think?

but the UK takes athletes from all over the world, not just british citizens, so really, the "population" argument doesn't really matter, cause Team GB has no problem taking athletes of other nationalities to compete for them... They have plenty of American athletes competing on "team GB" and other athletes from other countries too, there was a controversy over "plastic brits" before the games started.

If population actually mattered that much then China would have 4 times the number of medals as USA, and INdia would also be before the USA. I'm sick of the population excuse.
