View Full Version : Luke s male grooming?
the truth

Ok so in the age of the metrosexual, whatever that means
where some men take care of their appearance almost as much as women
is luke s a poster boy for the modern man?
if he is, then why does his daily grooming make me want to vomit my porridge?
as I watch him pluck his eyebrows, blow dry his hair endlessy, kiss his bicep tatoos and powder up skankley? Im thinking why does this feel so uncomfortable? I feel similarly baout beckham, the mans ego is so out of control and hes soooo over rated and over paid and overhyped, it makes me vomit
many women spend hours day after day looking in the mirror, painting their faces, their nails, getting spray tans, botox, hair extensions, nail extensions, fancy heels, stockings, endless clothes and make up
yet when this guy does the same , I want to pewk?
I dont even understand why I feel so nauseated by it?
Locke.

He's nothing compared to Jason from BB5, he used to stare in the mirror every night literally for hours.
It doesnt help when BB make his grooming a 10 minute montage in the main show :/

It's not the fact that he's primping himself that maskes you sick... Its the fact that he is so arrogant, conceited and narcissistic that makes you want to pewk when he comes on screen.. I have the same reaction when they show his face with that bored expression and that ridiculous dirty sanchez mustache.

Your posts are allways about the differencces of the sexes.
Alot of men take care of themselves now externaly now. Not every man has to go work in the coal mines, go to the pub then head home to bang out their woman.

i think he needs to step out of the closet before he is lost in narnia forever
there is grooming and then there is just going so overboard that he might as well just go the extra mile and slap on some high heels and a mini skirt. he seems to know a lot about womens shoes so maybe he already does.

I dont know...I cant quite explain why the luke s grooming makes me feel so sick, I get the same feeling whenever I see david beckham too, theres something disturbing about people that in love with themselves

Nothing. But when it takes you half your life like it does with Luke S, it's more of a preoccupation bordering on an obsession.

most women are the same but they dont get criticised for it, in fact I dont even think about it, maybe we should start getting used to this?

I think he just likes to look good & take care of himself. I dont think its a bad thing, better that than than someone who couldnt care less about there appearance.

My Family were talking about him the other day and how much he takes care of himself, with all the products, and how vain he is etc
And my Aunt was like 'He has to be gay' and I snapped at them all, because they know fine rightly - I'm exactly like Luke S in terms of taking care of my appearance to an extreme level.
I just think it's ridiculous that in this day and age we're going to base someone's obsession to look their best, as a determination of their sexuality? The guy said himself he's metrosexual.
And to be quite honest, if a guy went into that house and did things like paint their nails and did their make-up [like Scott does] I wouldn't call them gay, if they said they were straight.
At the end of the day it's their choice how they want to look. And to call someone gay for it? Well you're just making a bigger dick out of yourself.

I prefer a manly man. Shower, maybe a dab of aftershave. I wouldn't ever date a man who faffs around with his hair, wears makeup, fake tans and other superfluous preening. It's all a matter of taste, I suppose. I could never put up with a man telling me what shoes went with which outfit either. It's all a bit... feminine.

TMI Patrick. This isn't a therapy session. If you keep responses impersonal, the discussion will remain the same. Sounds harsh, all the same, if all your family assume you're gay and you're not. Though if you are there is absolutely nothing wrong with that....

It would depend, if they did it all whilst washing/showering on a morning & evening then i'd be ok but if it was constant then yes it would be a problem. Would probably drive me up the wall after a while if i had to hang around waiting while they got ready.

I don't see what the issue is? Why is it vomit inducing if he takes care of himself? I'd rather that, than some dude who rarely washes or sprays deodorant under their sweaty pits.
I do suspect that Luke S, far from vain, has low self esteem. He has red hair and may have been bullied for it at school. A lad at my school had similar colour hair and he was bullied mercilessly at school for it. I occasionally see him around sometimes, and he looks massively impressive nowadays. You can see he takes great care of himself.
Sometimes, people who seem vain are the exact opposite.

I cant believe he took the pampering and left Ash without on eviction night .Selfish guy.
Adam did say to him that this pampering task was for the evictees.

Big Brother’s latest task has caused more rows between lovebirds Ashleigh and Luke S.
Earlier today, Big Brother revealed Snuggles Salon to the house.
The housemates were asked to gather in two pairs and one trio of “best mates”.
Luke S paired up with Ashleigh, Scott and Sara joined forces and Luke A, Deana and Adam formed a trio.
Big Brother then revealed that in each group, one half would have to take a punishment in order for the other to win a very special pampering ahead of the eviction and final on Monday.
Luke A, Adam and Scott all scarified themselves to Snuggles’ Salon, where they were gunged, bathed in fake tan and punished with a variety of other disgusting beauty treatments by Snuggles the evil clown.
It meant that Deana and Sara both won themselves a real pampering today.
But Luke S decided he’d take the prize for Ashleigh, a decision that led to a row between the couple.
With Ashleigh storming off, Luke snapped: “Don’t go off in a ******ing mood.”
But outsiders Luke A and Adam reckon that the row showed the pair’s real personalities.
“I’m glad that all went down, it shows what he’s like it,” Adam said.
While Luke A speculated: “Do you think she’s just saying it because she wants people to think that she’s nice and not selfish, that’s what I think.”

It makes me sick too lol. I think its fine for a man to look after himself but he just goes too far and the comment about not liking Ashleigh's wedges as they are too thin and boarderline kitten heel........grow some balls!
A woman wants a man to act like a man.......well I certainly do!

Why are you trying to tell me what I can and can't post on this forum?
If you post information about yourself as part of a forum discussion are we allowed to speak freely about our opinions on you or is that deemed a personal assault? Just trying to point out that if you put personal info out on here it may not be pleasant if others feel free to express their opinion on it and you, which is what this forum seeks to avoid. If you are happy for this to happen, crack on...

I love a guy taking care of themselves
i wouldn't want to date a man who thinks of himself as a massive "LAD" - i quite like guys who have a soft side, and really do look after their appearance
Imo, theres a big difference between being vain, and caring about how you look :)
