Did anyone feel sorry for her? She looked like she was really struggling. I don't like her but thought the booing was too much.

I actually thought she came across really well. She showed a lot of grace actually by complimenting all three of Deana, Adam and Luke A, even though she doesn't like them much. She seemed very genuine in regards to the Luke S situation as well. I actually think Ashleigh was a nice girl, but unfortunately the public never really warmed to her because she was over-shadowed by bigger characters.

Why do the girls wear such stupid shoes?? They cant even SIT in them, let alone walk in them. It was the same last year, when that alex entered the house she was hobbling along and looked ridiculous!

She didn't look particularly bothered to me. She just carried on with her usual slack-jawed answers of "Yeah... No.... I dunno...".

I wonder how long it will be before she realises people are calling her Dobby or *******igh.

Until it was shown again as to her for the first time she'd seen it, the clip of Luke S and the false media people just seemed a damp squib really to me.

It had little effect really, I doubt Ashleigh will be that bothered especially when she knows that when he comes out, he may be shown all she has said as to their relationship and her doubts as to it.
A fuss over nothing was how I saw it.

One of my least favorites on the show but I thought she came across surprisingly well in the interview.

If you don't go into that house expecting the worst, you're gonna have a bad time

I think she might be mildly autistic or something. she doesn't seem all there. Definitely some sort of learning disability.

Her one notorious scene (in bed with Luke S.) was shown in part or entirely twice.
Why was Conor not confronted by his one disgusting scene?
BD afraid he might get punched?

Good point, I can't believe he got away with that.

Definitely some sort of learning disability.am I the only one who thought she acted really annoying/disrespectful to luke s after he lost out on the 50 grand to conor, when he came out the white room he was clearly devastated and all ashleigh could do was talk about how happy she was for conor, she actually had the nerve to ask him "why" he was upset like seriously you have to ask him why are you for real. Seriously this is meant to be her boyfriend who got screwed over by his supposed best mate and lost 50 grand, just seemed really oblivious and/or insensitive the way she was going on about how happy she was for conor.

Yes, she just lacks empathy and is self-absorbed. And quite often she just doesn't understand where people are coming from.
But I did feel sorry for her with the boos though.

No

Loads more wanted to take her place
but they picked the Essex Girl who lacks Education.

tbh she had probably the easiest time in that house out of anyone

Somebody really should teach her how to sit (and act) like a lady and especially when she wears a very short skirt as I really didn't want to see what she'd had for breakfast!:yuk:

I guess she is a spoilt little girl especially by Daddy. Hence her comments that money is unimportant to her ring true.
Thus losing the £50,000 was not significant to her.

That's an insult to autistic people, who are often highly intelligent. Ashleigh is no more autistic than I am the Pope's daughter, and is about as bright as the night sky. She's just an ill-educated, ill-spoken, spoilt little brat who is incapable of stringing a sentence together without using the 'f' word. She must have been dragged up to speak like that, it's disgusting. And despite her best efforts of trying to shake off the chav image in the house, she most definitely qualifies on that score too.

I think lostalex might be right she does come across as a bit slow. She doesn't appear to understand what's going on half the time. I thought her 'dumb' act was just a show but now I'm not so sure. i wouldn't worry about her too much as everything seems to just wash over her.

Autistic people are far from 'slow', though. Words just fail Ashleigh because she has not the vocabulary nor the intelligence to form an intelligent response, thus she comes across as wishy washy. I think she understands alright....she's just too unintelligent and lazy to care much.

Couldn’t agree more. Ashleigh is a damning indictment of the education system. She’s frivolous, silly and shallow and she proves the adage that ignorance is bliss. I don’t know much about autism but I think I remember that they struggle with contact, you know… hugging and touching. I don’t think Ashleigh has any problems on that score.

My son is autistic, and he has more intelligence, personality, wit, strength of character, insight, determination and depth than Ashleigh has in her little finger.

You are right. I meant she might have a learning disability of some kind rather than autism in particular. She really doesn't seem to grasp half of what is going on a lot of the time. Even the lack of vocab is not necessarily self inflicted. It's hard to know but I am inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. She really seemed like a rabbit in the headlights when she came out and I felt kind of sorry for her.
