Celebrity Big Brother capped a strong night for Channel 5 with 1.95m (11.2%) at 10pm
That is EXCLUDING +1. Seeing as +1 at 11pm normally reaches 70-90k, CBB must have gotten 2.02m-2.04m incl +1 which is very good for a 10pm slot.
This should mean tonight's eviction should get around 2.2m-2.3m (same as Jasmine's eviction). Or maybe lower as Paralympics Opening Ceremony is on tonight.

Does the paralympics get high ratings?

Does the paralympics get high ratings?
No idea. It won't be anywhere near the Olympic opening. People on the ratings prediction threads on DS seem to think it will be around 6-8m which would be massive for Channel 4.
CBB will face the games every day until it finishes :(
Jordan.
29-08-2012, 09:53 AM
Great for last night :worship:
Not interested in the paralympics so I'll be watching the eviction.
The Paralympics will be nowhere near as strong competition as the Olympics but it'll probably still get decent ratings with C4 giving it the most coverage it's ever had, wouldn't be surprised if it gets close to 10m for some of the major events
Jake.
29-08-2012, 11:37 AM
Good rating, proof that ratings aren't on the slump.
*mazedsalv**
29-08-2012, 11:44 AM
I am worried the ceremony will really dent CBB. I reckon it will get around 7m average and around 10m peak.
Jordan.

Didn't Carolines eviction against the closing ceremony still manage around 700k for the overnight ratings? that was better than we all expected.

True. I doubt the ratings will go below 1.5m tonight because CBB is getting around 1m higher than BB and also, Paralympics should be much lower than the opening ceremony back then as it's on Channel 4 and there has been less hype.
Jake.

2 Million (8%) Accoring to the Guardian. It was against the Paraolympic ceremony (which took 8 million), Who Do You Think You Are (3.6 million), Britian Then and Now on ITV (700,000)
*mazedsalv**
30-08-2012, 09:56 AM
2m (8%) for the 9pm show is brilliant considering ITV got 700k! Unsure if that 2m is with +1. It didn't even drop!

In our house there's absolutely no contest between BB/CBB and the Olympics/Paralympics.

I imagine its low seeing as viewers had to sit through an hour and 10 minutes of that ****ty Dalla documentary.

Not sure yet. It may be low, but even if it was like 1.5m, the share would be big. I reckon a 2m average for that time would be like 18%-20% share.

Yes 1.96m incl +1 is great up against what it was. It even beat Cheryl's eviction that got 1.93m incl +1.
Really want to know the later show!
*mazedsalv**
31-08-2012, 10:23 AM
I slight drop because of the return of Celebrity Juice (which got 1.8m).
CBB got 1.87m EXCLUDING +1. Tonight it will be over 2m again incl +1).
Including +1 Media Guardian:
Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother (2 million/11.1%).
Jake.

Good that it's stuckat 2 million, officialy could we be seeing a 2.3ish million average?

Celebrity Big Brother improved to 2.08m (9.6%) for Channel 5 from 9pm until 10.30pm, then 1.11m (7.5%) stayed for Emma Willis's Bit on the Side
Normally it says what the +1 got but it didn't. I don't think it includes it so that is brilliant. Either way it's good and the 2nd highest eviction after Jasmine.
Jake.

Yes that's odd. Xtra Factor had 980k last week (and that was an unusually high audience). Normally I am sure Xtra Factor gets between 700-800k. Not too shabby that a Channel 5 show gets 1.11m in a later slot and a share that was over double that of Xtra Factor's last week.

1.54m for last night. Highest Saturday of the three..
It's still doing very well. These last few days should all do quite well. Next bunch of officials are released tomorrow and they will be quite high as those ratings for that week were the first to go over 2m, so officials could be 2.4m+ for a few shows, and probably like 2.6m for Jasmine's eviction!

That Sunday rating is up 280k from last Sunday so that's good.

Really not much difference between this and CBB9 obviously the average will be lower due to the lower launch night figures.
When will we get the +1 so we can officialy compare?

Not sure. BARB hasn't updated Ch5+1 at all, so we will probably never get them!! Hopefully some ratings experts on DS can find them. With +1 I am pretty sure officials are at around 2.35m-2.40m (down 200-250k from CBB9) but had CBB10 launch got the same, CBB10 would be pretty much exactly like CBB9s 2.6m official average.

If the overnights of the final beat 2.7m for CBB10, it will be the last series (CBB and BB) since 2006 (BB7) that a final outrates a launch. So CBB10 launch will have to get 2.7m overnights or beat the official of 2.96m for the launch to be "the most consistent" BB/CBB in 6 years.
I actually reckon it could happen. It will depend on this last week.
So far overnights wise, this series is beating BB10, BB12 and BB13.
Jake.

I'm sure it will. 2.4m I predict as those Weds and Thurs ratings would be around 2.6m with +1 and then a few of these days coming up, I reckon we could see 2.1m overnights with maybe 2.2m for the double on Weds and then obviously the final which could boost it a little bit. I would say 2.4m rounded up.
Jake.

Were overnight figures for last Wednesday's second show (Rhian's eviction) ever eventually released? :(

Were overnight figures for last Wednesday's second show (Rhian's eviction) ever eventually released? :(
Nope. But they will be next week when the officials for that show will be released.
Back to last night- 2m for it. Hopefully during the final days, it can start getting around 2.1m so we can hopefully get a 2.4m official average (however we are at 2.3m at the moment). Last night was a tough slot with New Tricks getting 6.9m and A Mothers Son debuting at 5m. so hopefully with weaker competition, CBB can achieve around 2.1m for it's HL shows and around 2.2m for the double tomorrow.
So weekend ratings in full incl last nights:
Friday- 2.12m incl +1
Saturday- 1.54m incl +1
Sunday- 1.87m incl +1
Monday- 2m incl +1
Friday, Saturday and Sunday's ratings were all UP on the previous weeks.
Jake.

Makes me laugh how we all predicted this series to bomb in the ratings, yet it's not really doing differently from CBB9

05-09-2012, 10:53 AM
22:00 - Celebrity Big Brother: 1.8m (10.5%)
23:00 - Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side: 657k (7.5%)
*mazedsalv**
05-09-2012, 11:12 AM
Would be around 1.9m with +1 as 1.8m is EXCLUDING +1. Yes, slightly down but still good up against the stronger competition it has had since Saturday.
Interesting official stats.
The launch leading to the first Sunday officially averaged 2.27m INCLUDING +1.
The latest week officials (Monday-Sunday) officially averaged 2.17m EXCLUDING +1 (if you count the usual ~150k for +1 it would officially average 2.32M)
So I think for the first time in many, many years, the 2nd week officials BEAT the first week (which has the launch to always boost it up).
This would mean, taking those numbers into account. The Current Official Average Incl +1 would be between 2.28m-2.32m
Jake.
05-09-2012, 11:14 AM
Interesting! I could settle for a 2.3 average, it's good enough for Autum

06-09-2012, 08:46 AM
Shame that the first show was on at 8pm, spoiled any chance of momentum. I am unusre if this includes +1 or not:
BB 8pm show- 1.8m
Dallas- 2.95m
BB later show- 1.9m
Dallas lower than people generally expected. Also the 2nd show of BB received the highest share bar launch with 11.8%.
Jake.
06-09-2012, 09:34 AM
Considering how much ratings have jumped up in the officials, it doesn't bother me too much
Jake.
06-09-2012, 10:52 AM
Celebrity Big Brother's double bill, which saw Julie Goodyear and Prince Lorenzo evicted, was watched by 1.83m (11.1%) at 8pm (+1: 168k/0.7%) and 1.83m (11.3%) from 10.15pm.

Same here, too bad just over a million switched off when bb came on, i was hoping it would retain at least an extra 200,000 off the back of Dallas..Oh well it's still doing just fine and i expect to see the final score a high 2.8 maybe 3million rating.
The 8pm showing held up very well aswell. Obviously a near 2mil solid fan base for the cbb series.
Be intresting to see where five rank amongst the channels in january 2013 with a new CBB and second series of Dallas giving the channel a big share boost.

They need to revert to the old format 1bb and 1cbb a year not bloody 3 or 4...cbb would pull at least the cbb9 numbers wich is fab, and normal bb would pull 1.8 possibly bit more with live feed...
The next year is massive for the show, endemol need to deliver in the civilian bb or I dont think five will renew in 2014.

Even at 2.2mil it's still a great average for ch 5.
Sad thing is the series easily deserved 3mil plus, it should of been five's highest rated CBB to date.
But with a much needed 4 month break, i hope five see that drop in ratings as a slight worry and give CBB and BB the Dallas treatment. That should certainly boost the lauch night and finale figures. Which would boost the average up somewhat more.
Just a real pity Five are not agreeing to the live feed endemol can offer etc. Overnights for normal bb would probably hit 2mil as opposed to 1.6/1.7, and cbb would arguably get overnights in the high 2's, possibly low 3's.
