View Full Version : Amma on 'Night Fever'
According to the Radio Times website, Amma is scheduled to be on Night Fever this Saturday, 19 January - 7.10 p.m. - Channel 5.
Here's the programme lineup:
'Celebrity karaoke show testing musical knowledge and singing and dancing skills. With Darren Day, Mike McClean, Martin Hancock, Danny John Jules, Dr David Bull, Nell McAndrew, Heather Peace, Jacqueline Kington, Amma and Emily Booth.'
Should be worth a watch to see if Amma gets to sing again. :dazzler:
Damn, damn, damn - after posting that Amma was on Night Fever, I forgot to watch it!!
Did anyone tune in and can let us know how Amma did. Was she looking as stunning as before, and did she get to sing a solo?
All information gratefully received! :dazzler:

Hi Kaz,
Yes, I taped it and watched it after Pop Idol. Amma looked really lovely. Black pinstriped shirt with white collar and cuffs and white trousers. She sang a duet with Darren Day. I thought she sang really well and she certainly seemed to be enjoying herself.
Thanks, peachy. :wavey:
I hope we hear more of Amma's singing, even if it's just on Night Fever.
Not too keen on Darren Day, though - a bit 'slimy' in my opinion!! :colour: :spin2: :colour:

Oh yes Kaz, I do agree very slimy. Amma sang as well, if not better than him, and he looked really rough, too.
I just caught the last 5 minutes, so even though I saw Amma, I didn't actually hear her duet with Darren Day. Infact, I've never managed to hear her sing on any of the Nightfever shows she's been on in the past.

Amma seems to be doing very well for herself, a tv series (Dream Team), appearances on Night Fever etc...
Good on her, I'm glad she didn't have to go back to her old job! :spin2:

Unfortunately Amma isn't on Dream Team any more. She had a role that lasted about 4 episodes and then she left the series. I thought she did really well and it's a shame that she left. I don't think she was written out, she was only taken on for a temporary role in the first place.

I've only just got round to watching my video of this and I have to admit I was impressed. The last time I saw Amma she did a duet with Bubble and it was terrible. Darren Day is slimy, but perhaps better for doing a duet with than the hatted one.
I've no idea when this was filmed, so she's perhaps learnt more when she's been in the studio, but it still looked like she could do with a little voice training and instruction on microphone use. Most of the time her voice sounded lovely, but there were a few lines where it was a bit wonky. Not out of tune or anything, just a bit strained and not sounding right. There were also a few bits where she was holding the microphone too far away so we lost her.
I still think she might struggle to make it in the charts for all kinds of other reasons, but now I've seen this performance I've changed my mind about her singing not being good enough. :spin2:
