I don't care about RVP going to Utd, because I appreciate what he did for us last season and I know that he wont live up to his price tag

I think he's a massive panic buy really, he's use to being the main man/goal getter, he won't be that at United
Never goingt to score anywhere near 30 goals again. Could easily get injured too. and really think Rooney/Hernandez/Welbeck are fine

No one said he's going to score 30 goals. His extra goals and his ability to take the pressure off Rooney if he is playing badly could well be the difference though.
25M is a decent price.
At the end of the day we Got Kagawa & RVP for the same price as Aguero and £5m more than Andy Carroll. Not fussed over how much we paid.
The Difference between United winning the Champions league and not winning the Champions League... i'll be sure to bump this thread when the time is right

The way I look at it is that we bought the guy for something like 2m, we had him for 8 years, and sold him after he had peaked for 25m. However you look at it, Arsenal have got a fantastic deal.
it won't seem like that if you don't make the top 4 without him though

We will though, the only reason it seems as though we wouldn't have done it without him is because he was the guy that we gave every chance to, because we didn't have any other goalscorers last season
This season we've got Giroud, Podders and Cazorla who all look as though they'll score more than RVP did last season (not each, combined)
We'll get top 4 without a shadow of a doubt. Tottemham look weak, Newcastle were lucky last year as they had two unknown entities without any pressure on them to score loads, and the only other team who could threaten the top 4 is Liverpool who, let's face it, are a joke.

Arsenal will have to be very lucky to get top 4 this season, Spurs have a much better squad and Newcastle have better strikers, and a better keeper
Look how close it was last year and Newcastle haven't sold any key players they have brought Anita in as well, Arsenal have sold RVP and are selling Song to make matters worse

OT but this could have been our squad if we didn't have such a tightwad money hungry owner
Szczesny
Sagna --- Toure --- Vermaelen --- Clichy
Walcott --- Fabregas --- Nasri --- Cazorla
RVP --- Adebayor

Newcastle only did well last season because Ba and Cisse were underestimated by the opposition, and neither were expected to be as good as they were. All it takes is for one of those two to have a poor run of form and Newcastle are ****ed
Spurs only have one striker (other than Kane but...) and he's not good enough to get them the goals they'll require to get top 4. VDV is ageing and Bale was never as good as everyone made him out to be imo.
All we really have to do to get top 4 is replace Song wisely and get a new LB and we're in business. + Wilshere is back soon, as is Sagna.
Newcastle have Cabaye, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Gutierrez and Anita running the show for them in midfield now, Pards is the one in business
Locke.

Adebayor is expected to join Spurs this week

Manchester top 2
Chelsea
Arsenal
Trophieless season for Arsenal as RVP wins the league.

When that happens I'll start giving them a chance
But we all know AVB isn't suited to the Premier League
+ Novo, they're all pretty average for a mid-table club bar Cabaye. The only reason NC got 5th last season is because of Ba and Cisse and I doubt they'll continue on the same form they had last season

Ben Arfa could easily play for a top 4 club if he remained fit, would walk into the Liverpool and Arsenal team right now, would have him over Walcott :idc:

You all seem to forget that Arsenal have lost big players before, a lot bigger than RVP, and we've always got top 4 the next season

Truthfully. Kagawa,Nani and Valencia supplying for Rooney and RVP could give any football fan erections :idc:
Our central midfield then makes it flop :p

You have Carrick who never fails to misplace a pass in midfield, what more could you possibly want :idc:

How about Charlie Adam?
Jayson

We'll be signing M'Vila after that 15m from the Song sale comes through
Unfortunately he has a bit of a reputation as a bad boy out in France so Arsene's gonna have to knock some sense into him
