I would say Julie is the alpha. Everyone seems to want to be on Julie's good side, and it's interesting that Julie has gone out of her way to protect Jasmine a little bit, almost as a way to show her power in the house, because Jasmine is probably her biggest competition for alpha female, but by taking Jasmine in while she was having her freakout she just cemented her power even over Jasmine.

I think the whole concept of an "Alpha Female", is a false analogy. While the term in males refers to the similarities between the male hierarchy in the Great Apes, such as how Alpha male chimps are aggressive, domineering, and leaders of their group.

There is no analogy for females.

Female leaders (as per the analogy; Alphas) don't exist, the closest thing to them, occur in the Bonobo family. And the females solve all arguments by having sex.
(Which I'm not seeing on the show)
