Thats more than a Billion Atomic Bombs.
All Plants would Die.
Dinosaur's were wiped out
after the last one.
So we need to be able to grow food in low light
and in Hi Tech bags.
All would be Sold before
any Massive attack.
Would it hit China /Asia
or America/Canada for those left
no sunshine for over a year, so stock up
when they go on sale before it hits Earth
of course we will know.

We could just build a massive rocket and move the earth like they did in Futurama so that the asteroid would miss
Of course this would give us an extra week every year which would become Robot Party Week

I'm sure that, given the right amount of Chinese labourers, we could make a rocket big enough to move the earth

In this Day and Age it would not work.

No not all.
That Big Nations it Hits , sure.
The Very Rich will have enough time to move out before.
But you can grow food in low lights now
in Hi Tech bags.
So other places will carry on.
After the storms
and the Sun comes back (a year or 2 later)
we carry on.

DO we really need sunlight? most people now spend almost all of their time inside in front of their computer or the TV anyway.
Arn't there places in Canada and Alaska where they don't get sunlight for months?
Sam:)

no crops = no livestock = no dairy foods, meats
wouldn't temperatures plummet also? I think death would be inescapable were this to happen.

can't we use special growing lights to grow food? People grow food inside with those special neon lights right?
Like Marijuana growers, they use special lights to grow tons of marijuana in basements and stuff.

"DO we really need sunlight? "
For Crops - yes.
But Hi Tech Growing veg
in low lights would keep many alive.
