View Full Version : Why are most of these housemates so jealous of Sitch?

It was so disgusting seeing Cherly act all dignified and patronizing saying she would never even say 'the situation' while bein interviewed after she was evicted and on bots. Julian also talks so much about Mike yet Mike doesnt even register Julian's existence that much and is on good terms with him. Are they all envying how much he makes? And if so, why envy someone who actually worked hard and got on a very famous show that he became the main selling point of? Isn't the Prince less deserving of 50 million which was basically inherited and that he didn't do anything for? Situation is gonna win and it's going to be so

Kinda funny how much a few of them seem to dislike him when he has been pretty nice, imagine what they'd be saying if he'd gone in and acted like he does on Jersey Shore

I agree, he hasn't done anything fake or mean yet they slag him off for being a millionaire. He is not a millionaire because of his six pack but because of how big of a star he is on one of the US's biggest shows. He makes money off advertisement and club appearances. It just boils down to jealousy

It's envy over his salary ($5m), status (US reality TV megastar), lack of intelligence and reward for lack of talent, he's not a singer, actor, sports star etc. If he'd been a Michael Madsen or Dennis Rodman nobody would have minded.

I enjoy seeing the pathetic vile venom of jealous contempt pour from Julian and Cheryl

There's an element of Julian, Cheryl etc have grafted in industry for at least 25 years and spent years earning peanuts, they get mild mid term success (Julian with Saturday Night Live and some lucrative panel comedy shows whilst Cheryl gets Eastenders). Then Situation (who was unemployed) comes along and cleans up becoming the second highest reality TV behind mega mega rich Kim Kadashian. So they are bound to be jealous. Plus ironically - since its CBB - reality TV is killing off scripted TV eg drama, soaps, comedy. It's cheaper to make Jersy Beach than it is to make Pretty Little Liars, How I Met Your Mother, 24, 2 Broke Girls, The Wire or Homeland etc.

TV is changing. It's all about reality TV (see the Hills, Osbournes etc). Kim 'sex tape' Kadashian and her family plus Situation, Snookie and Pauly D are the stars of US TV

Interesting point about reality tv now replacing scripted tv

I think Mike Situation is the one housemate who can beat Julian. Therefore I don;t mind him winning.

We don't know vote order and he may have topped Julians votes. People will get bored of Julians predictable camp one-liners, Mike will have SLs.

Julian doesn't seem to be indifferent., he seems to mention Mike every time he's in the diary room. even though Mike has been nice to him in the house always.

Jullian really is comming accross as a bit of a bully the way he picks on Mike in the DR, and then says nothing to his face.

It even seems like Mike has made a specific effort with Julian, to be friendly.

yeah...

are you keepin a record of everything everyone says? I think most people here change their opinions based on what they see, so it's not fair to say that just cause someone thought someone would win they don't have the right to an opinion anymore.

How many winners have you predicted???

Dunno what there would be to be jealous about. He's getting destroyed by Danica.

I dunno... he seems to have a lot of confidence which can intimidate people I suppose?

I have to say though, he's been nothing butpleasant in the house so I really cant see why he should be disliked.

Maybe, people see the potential winner in him and don't like it?

I remember when Julie and Julian were talking about mike's success and they tried to down play it by saying it was just 'luck'. I guess they blame the fact the haven't had a job in like 1000 year on bad 'luck:.

Some indifferent and some going to great lengths not to give him any kind of respect. I do think Julian has genuinely disliked him from the initial handshake at the bottom of the stairs. Almost a morbid fascination Julian has, not that he'd ever admit it.

I also refer him as Mike, 'the situation' is an absolute cringe.
