How many of them smoke?

I don't get why so many of them do smoke. If 1 in 5 of the general population smokes then surely just a couple of the HMs should smoke? Unless BB deliberately picked smokers for some reason.

I realise that smoking is an addiction...but when someone gets to Julie's age (70) they should really know that their time is finite, and who wants the last thing they'll ever do to be smoking a cigarette?
