I would prefer to watch any of the hm's over Julie
her act and gameplan is so slimy to watch, when she says she respects everyone and knows them inside and out, then 2 minutes later is backstabbing them to someone else and being a hypocrite
she thinks because shes older, she can hide behind the mother figure.. But as Martin is a fellow oldie, he can see through that

One of them is gone this week, EVERY chance if Martin does his duty Julie up next week
Or some of the other housemates might see it as Martin trying to save his own skin to save being nominated, and might not like that side of him turning on Julie and nominate him anyway? I suppose good for him if he has decided to up his game now, as he has been another dull one so he needs to do something for more airtime. I reckon Julie should be ok even if up next nominations, as she should get saved. I would love for Julie to nominate Martin.

I think he is just trying to get down with the boys. Sorry, is that even an expression, sure I have heard it somewhere :joker: just to save his own skin. I don't care for him much either, don't get all the fuss over him as he hasn't done much in there, unless some of his fans lust after him rather than like him for his rather limited personality in there.

I get sick of this whole mother figure thing. They are grown adults in a house for three weeks - they don't need a mother figure!!! Also I think it's a bit offensive for their actual mothers.

Fact is she is in it to win it as are all the HM, credit to her that she has managed up to now to be very genuine and not arouse too many suspicions, but after yesterdays antics with the Guys before Nominations, it was clear she is definitely playing a massive game in there.

Yes! Julie and Julian are great! They make me laugh so much! :joker:
In the showmance, I would much have prefered that Ashley, Harvey, and even Lorenzo, were up for the vote than the girls, as much as I am getting fed up with the showmance and all involved, those boys need taking down a peg or two by facing the eviction vote, especially Harvey.

They are all game playing! It is just about the way you choose to play it. I love how Martin is being kind to the boys and giving them great advice. Julie is pushing the envelope and he is letting them know that this is a television show and perception is everything. What may or may not work for her will not for them. He is warning them that how they behave in the house may effect their future. Unfortunately for Harvey what Harvey has done out of the house has already damaged his career and reputation.

Like Many Martin, Julie and Julian are my favourites. Martin really does know how to handle himself and I think he is the only one in the house who is not afraid to say what he thinks to anyone. I think Martin will a bit more circumspect, he will probably try and raise other HM 's awareness of Julie and not try to challenge her one on one in the first instance.
If has a gameplan it might be to try and manipulate the younger guys and girls in there to Julie's deviousness. He could be the puppet master standing back in the shadows pulling the strings to obtain the desired effect.

Indeed, and he is my absolute favourite in the house as I am one of his fans,I have loved just about everything Martin and his Brother have been involved in.
As you say if he says something in a factual and not nasty way then all will be well.
If as some indicate, they hope he really lets rip as to Julie then I do feel he will lose support if he did that, I personally don't think he will and hope he doesn't but if he were to, I do feel a fair number of the public watching may turn against him.
Some on here are hoping he will really tear Julie to pieces as if she is some sort of Devil rather than a 70 year old actress.
I am sure Martin wouldn't and doesn't see her that way however,(as if she is someone really nasty),and hope he keeps things very balanced and fair which is actually what I believe he will do as to her anyway.
I think he has been great in the house, however I know others who like him but who have been disappointed with him so far, they really like Julie and her crankiness and antics, all I was saying is he risks a lot if he were to turn on her the way some on here seem to want him to.
That in my view would be a mistake by him as it would be for Julie vice versa too in my opinion, if she really got nasty towards him.

There is no need to rip into her,Im just thankful hes seen through her and hes not keeping it to himself, IMO Julie will struggle to get work after this as its been clear how really nasty she is, Martin needs to keep his dignity, something Julies also failed to do

Actually Martin didn't say anything that bad as to Julie, he will need to play against her a bit since he must see her as a main contender this series, much like in politics, just friendly digs at an opponent.
He hasn't done any harm I think to himself and also certainly none to Julie either. He was also spot on in his getting at Danica with Lorenzo too, in that he was very much at one with Julie and the others and he was really leading the getting at Danica too.
Really good on him for that.
Julie has nothing to fear from Martin, he may make rumblings but will not want to be seen attacking full on, a 70 year old on TV,I don't believe he would even think of doing that anyway.

Julie Goodyear the actress the same, she can be outrageous, controversial but hilarious too,

Yes I thought he had a lot more to say too, I wonder if they will take it on board, or still think the sun rises and sets on her backside? why do you think she said "We are not telling anyone what weve seen or heard?" she needs to use it, and thinks it will make her a little team(Martin,Harvey,Ash)of conspiritors ,she made out if they spoke about it, they wouldnt get food budget, she didnt know that, but was using it

Full credit to Julie for not picking Julian as a God, also she was not the only one not picking him as a God too, Martin and Harvey didn't choose him either or for that matter even say his name.
They did have to stand still for the throwing things at them, he stepped off, he hardly warranted being selected then and I doubt he even expected to be anyway.
Had she insisted Julian was chosen as a God, she would have rightly been able to be criticised for only wanting the people she felt closest too as Gods.
As it is along with the other 'Gods' she played the game totally fairly.
Julian I am sure is no way in the slightest bothered either way.He will see no bad in Julie or the others, Martin and Harvey for his not being selected as a God.
Talk about clutching at straws to get at Julie, this must be one of the best yet.

I didn't see it that way, I heard her say Harvey had never moved an inch on the throwing task and Martin totally agreeing with her, after that she was only one of three to choose the next one, both Harvey and Martin also went the same way too for the next one,
You are surely not trying to tell me after Martin's comments as to Julie that he would not insist on who he wanted if he had really wanted anyone else other than the choices they made.

And the fact that boring Martin has finally decided that it is time to move against his competition , should be something to celebrate and not use as a brick to beat Julie's head in with!

Exactly and very well said.
Totally agree with you,it is as if some think because someone is 70 that all those who are 70+ should be sitting just knitting and telling tales of the old days.
As if fun and feelings and saucy humour should stop dead because people are older.
I have found far more fun, humour and great laughs with people on social occasions who are in their 70s and even 80s than I have seen with some of my own generation and I am only 20.

The same I am saying as to Julie, that it was a bit of saucy fun, a small isolated part of a whole tasks events.
Obviously I wouldn't need to be making any reference though to the 'ageist' element comments as to the incident because it was Julie, seeing as Danica.Rhian, Samantha and to a degree Coleen are younger.
